Quaoar (pronounced "kwaa'·waar") is the name of a creation deity of the Native American Tongva people, native to the basin area around Los Angeles, California and the Southern Channel Islands, an area covering approximately 4,000 square miles (10,000 km2), Chingichngish, (also spelled Chengiichngech, Chinigchinix, Chinigchinich, Changitchnish)also known as Quaoar also had other names; including Ouiamot, Tobet and Saor.
Chinigchinix was born, or first appeared, after the death of Wiyot, a tyrannical ruler of the first beings, who was poisoned by his sons. Wiyot's murder brought death into the world, and as a consequence, the male creator Night divided the first human ancestors into distinct peoples, assigning them languages and territories. The name Ouiamot is ostensibly similar to Wiyot (Ouiot), the name of another important figure, the primeval tyrant killed just before the appearance of Chinigchinix. Ouiamot is possibly to be taken as Ouiamot the childhood name of Chinigchinix. Quaoar's parents were Tacu and Auzar, or, according to other accounts, he was born of Tamaayawut (Mother Earth). According to yet other accounts, "he had neither father nor mother", yet is generally referred to with masculine pronouns, see the details in the articles listed below.
God of the Sky, Weywot, was first to be formed of the creation melody. Next came Chehooit, who became Goddess of the Earth. These two new deities joined in the dance and created the sun and moon (Tamit and Moar, respectively). Together these five sang and danced everything else into existence: animals, plants, people, and the other gods as well. His work finished, Quaoar faded into obscurity, perhaps returning to wherever it was he came from originally.
In the discovery chart, Quaoar in Sagittarius in the 11th house is conjunct and sandwiched between Ixion (betrayal) and Pluto and the South Node. It is opposed to the Sun and Saturn conjunct the North node in Gemini. There is some similarity in the charts of Quaoar and Sedna, which is evident as they both seem to have credible discovery times. There is god complex and abuse of power in the 11th house of social groups in society, with this cluster conjunct Ixion in the 10th house of public standing, which entail a betrayal of one party considering themselves as more morally superior than another, and wanting to be the ultimate authority that lays down so called ‘order’, as it pertains to ideas and ideals to how society should work (Sagittarius). The tight grand cross of Quaoar on the Nodal axis in its own discovery chart, the square to MakeMake opposed to Salacia speaks of violence, who is in power and who is overwhelmed and vulnerable in the tug of war dynamic to be the ultimate authority that is in integrity (Saturn conjunct North Node), where the energy of the grand cross aspect pattern seeks release. It’s the image of powerful, forceful but mutable energy of great stalemate beyond belief, and need to find a highly unique solution to the bad situation.
The Sabian symbol for Quaoar entails the light of ENLIGHTENMENT left behind for others to learn from, having found the solution to KARMIC COMPLETION. It’s about the extreme challenging experiences of life in social settings, the false righteousness behind forced control, coercion and betrayal, released and alchemised by the master.
Quaoar in Capricorn makes a square to MakeMake in Libra. Together they make a Hammer of Thor apex in Taurus challenging, disrupting and making changes to those things that used to give us security and a sense of safety. Astrologer Pam Gregory has demonstrated how in history, Uranus in Taurus has been associated with extreme dry heat (MakeMake in Libra currently squares Quaoar in Capricorn, making a Hammer of Thor apex on Uranus in Taurus.) This pressure on Uranus in Taurus is going to require that farmers make their livelihoods more resilient to climate extremes; via regenerative/biological farming.
This is just one of the many influences, as part of the five pointed star of change, that is signalling massive changes on planet earth.
