In astrology, Jupiter is the jovial and sanguine humour king of the gods, and the god of the sky and thunder, the “sky father”, who was a guardian and protector who carried a thunderbolt. The Romans regarded Jupiter as the equivalent of the Greek Zeus, and in Latin literature and Roman art, the myths and iconography of Zeus are adapted under the name Jupiter. In ancient Greek religion and mythology, there are twelve Olympians who are the major deities of the Greek pantheon, with Zeus called the king of the gods. They were called Olympians because, according to tradition, they resided on Mount Olympus. Curiously, there are various astrological aspects associated with Zeus, like the planet Jupiter, an asteroid 5731 Zeus, a Uranian Hypothetical Object called Zeus, as well as a fixed star Altair, and the constellation Aquila the Eagle.
Jupiter in astrology is broader purpose, the higher mind, and the hope connected to possibility. It’s the search for faith, higher ideals, a sense of abundance, generosity and abstract thought. It’s about the philosophy of how one sees their own life, if one has mental clarity, or if one is limited by too narrowly focussed perception, when it comes to shaping one’s own destiny; its no secret that one’s own choices to indulge in the low vibrational, brings the anthesis, which is misfortune…
Jupiter’s glyph, or symbol, shows the crescent of receptivity rising above the cross of matter. This symbolize Jupiter’s role of raising our awareness beyond the physical world. Jupiter encourages us to reach, expand, and improve, but did lazy, stingy, jovial Jove really want to do all that work? Mythology suggests not… as the my-way-or-the-highway idealist only wanted to be perceived for supremacy and wanted all the cake for himself… skipping steps, burning others, and cheating to get ahead…
The Eris blog, the Chiron blog, as well as the Salacia blog describes in great detail, how the TNOs carry underworld themes, as it relates to bringing unawareness, the not yet known, and ‘darkness’ to light, to be seen in the LIGHT of day. Jupiter/Zeus might have been that seemingly jovial socialite pulling the strings behind the scenes, but the meeting with the trans-Neptunian objects brings his unconscious dark aspects to light, as the ‘in relation’ dynamic with the likes of Eris and Chiron in astrology indicates. Also, Salacia, was - from a certain point of view - the feminine aspect that had been just out of awareness, lurking, from Neptune (Poseidon), who could not find her in his own domain, the ocean. Zeus had a family history seeped in deep abiding multi-generational fear of being overthrown by visionary offspring with great potential (especially those who were pure of heart), and half-brother Chiron’s merit-making of many of Zeus’ children, as their wise and highly skilled mentor, seems to have triggered Zeus tremendously. Chiron’s student Asclepius grew into a master alchemist surpassing his grandfather Zeus, father Apollo and his teacher Chiron, to the point where both Zeus and Pluto (Hades) felt threatened by his growth and his rapid excelleration in his field. Many of the asteroids and trans-Neptunian objects seem to have surpassed Zeus in self-improvement, reach, and expansion, so why is the positive spinning of the wheel of fortune a problem for the king of the gods?
From a different point of view, both the asteroids that are not visible to the naked eye, and the TNOs, which are very distant, represent HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS progression, and being able to bring the dark aspects into the light of day, to be transformed and integrated, as the soul having a human experience. The transformation and growth is meant to lead to a natural progression and upliftment… Most astrologers know Jupiter as attracting LUCK, the LUCKY PLANET, connected to EXPANSION, MORALITY, PROSPERITY, GRATITUDE, HONOUR, etc. but unfortunately for those who only want to see the bright side of the coin, Greek mythology is full of SATIRE, which is the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticise people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. Like other planets, uncle Jupe has a higher and lower expression. He may be called a benefic, but he’s not singular in nature and that is at the heart of the DENIAL… that is slowly rising to the top…
Jupiter is usually the fourth-brightest object in the sky (after the Sun, the Moon and Venus), but planet Jupiter with its enormous size, with spectacular, brightly colored clouds and INTENSE STORMS, has a massive gravitational pull and INFLUENCE. Some astronomers believe that the gaseous giant plays an important protecting role to capture or expel from the solar system many comets and asteroids that would otherwise threaten Earth and the inner planets in our solar system. Jupiter takes 11.9 years to orbit the Sun, spending almost an earth year (361 days) in each sign of the zodiac. Jupiter is the king of the planets due to size and is related to the human ego and the rank that it wants to maintain.
In symbolism regarding Jupiter/Zeus’ characteristics, Zeus desired to be larger than life, but was often brewing with some tension inside of himself. He had so much natural charisma, which he used to assert influence over other people… often negative exertion, PERSUASION and SWAY…
In the negative expression, malicious Zeus watched others like a hawk/eagle, often being in a situation where he was weighing the fate of man, with the idea to put someone’s light out, or stop their flow, so that they wouldn’t have hope, passion, nor new beginnings. He wanted SUCCESS, EXALTATION, WEALTH ACQUISITION, FANCY LIFESTYLE and BOUNTY but without much effort, and it seems that seeing others around him prospering, gaining milestones, and having positive attitude, caused him inner discomfort and turmoil. As dominant leader of Greek society, he became biased, blindly optimistic, judgemental, illogical, narrow-minded, and arrogant in finding inner ‘justification’ to obliterate others. He was overlooking details, underestimating risk, overestimating his abilities, and had inadequate preparation. Mythology shows he often went the wrong way, making poor choices, like blocking other’s opportunities due to developing ill-intentions against them. Other’s beauty, passion, creativity, talents, good news, energetic enthusiasm and especially reality checks, sparked ire in him, thus a desire to influence and control them...
Zeus mimicked and projected any image that served his personal agenda in the moment, especially invested in sweet-talking and the wrong kind of ‘love’. He often played the coy secret-admirer who put his effort in fantasies, obsessions, illusions, unprincipled flirtations and atrocities, like shapeshifting his appearance to fool and love bomb innocent young ladies, then leave them pregnant, shamed, crushed, and unprovided for, and his bastard children fatherless. His ‘meritocracy government’ was ruled by a council consisting of those like Themis, who did the bulk of the ‘work’, yet his sitting on a pedestal, having enjoyment of all the benefits without actually putting in the work to deserve merit himself, and then opposing and blocking other’s CORNUCOPIA, was UNFAIR and an INJUSTICE. Gluttonous Zeus was frequently in situations where it was a bad mix, like with his revengeful wife Hera who gave him hell for being an unfaithful, dishonest liar, and opposing his relationships with illegitimate children whom he did want to own, like Heracles. Zeus lived in a lot of instability and imbalance, but this is what the vain, non-committal and dogmatic Don Juan had set out to do to others, initially wearing a mask, pretending unconditional love or support, breaking other’s hearts, and then perhaps being heartbroken in turn about having broken his own heart. He had great expectations of future rewards, but his sociopathic intention was to create distraction and conflict in other’s lives, being in secret competition and having a clashing ego fight with them. While under ‘energetic’ judgement for ill-intent, juggling others and taking violent measures against them for their defeat, he possibly felt under attack himself, being insecure, having trouble adapting, or doing the RIGHT THING by those whom he marginalised and disadvantaged.
Zeus was focussed on stealth ego battling and the antagonist/protagonist dynamic and his persona Aquila the Eagle was one means to an end. Forceful Zeus had the power to advance, challenge, or to wrong another, and he abused it… He was not a faithful husband and there were many infidelities, affairs, seductions and third parties. Pretentious Zeus often judged others for breaking their oaths, yet how is it that the player was not measured by that same stick? The god-complex dispensed justice on others according to his orthodox social system of control and its traditions, yet Zeus did not seem able to grasp the effect that his selfish behaviour mind games had on other people, nor how this immorality, to create a fall from grace for another… could backfire. He just continued on with his bad mix lifestyle, in his denial and unawareness, creating destruction and karmic consequences… Seeming sensible, judicious and better than others, yet he was not. Self-interest prevailed…
The midas miser wanted to steal INTEGRITY from others, to be the decision-maker regarding who they were, how people should think of them. He wanted the power to decide their fate, if they should move forward on their life journey, and be the judge of how worthy they were, or were not… This forming of a social opinion on another human being is a devaluation, that is prejudiced, which was made out as of it were fact, amongst a group of gang stalking flying monkeys who were in on the act.
In the lower expression, Zeus was a tyrannical player who didn’t care who he burnt, because he was invested in a main character faustian bargain for his own self-importance as above others. He had ill-intentions for others and abused many innocent party’s human rights. He was materialistic, greedy, obsessive and addictive; a real GOLD-DIGGER and GRAVE-DIGGER, due to over-indulgence in his party scene, where another had to be made the pinata. Zeus seemed to have been ‘bothered’ or even saddened by those who were energetic, free-spirited and not encumbered by DEVILISH DARK ENERGY, TOXICITY, nor wrapped up in KARMIC BAGGAGE. It seems to have caused him upset, that those who had recovered from his horrific betrayal demolition of them, like his stalking, slandering, destruction of their reputation and deadlock, were back on their feet and healed. He wanted their confidence, ideas, vision, business, work, gifts, relationships, hope or trust in divine providence stripped from them in a heist. With his thunderbolt he cut many off from society, their previous alliances or networks of people, to have them permanently down and out, so that they wouldn’t be able to move forward, nor have any networking support left. Others he downright killed with his hate-driven ego, like Asclepius, because their very existence was a massive threat to him maintaining status quo in fake polite society.
The duplicitous felt morally superior, thus the socially abusive mind manipulating behaviour, all while wanting to appear upstanding in society’s eyes. He infiltrated other’s space with stealth, only to use their kindness towards him against them, to turn them inside out. Zeus seemed to have liked disrupting other people’s environment and creating INVERSION; to make good, empathic people a monstrous version of their former selves, encouraging self-dismissal and self-abandonment. He used lies to cause damage, and it was because he was unhappy and unsatiated, having EMBRACED DEVILISH ENERGY TO GET AHEAD, being in sick self-deception about the consequences of his actions. The bad juju that he had taken inside of him, switched up on him, and had been working against him, but he didn’t want to take accountability, instead projecting and pointing fingers at others. It was always someone else’s fault, and those who were doing the right thing, putting the work in, being optimistic, brave, generous, and a loving human being, operating out of integrity, or rapidly getting ahead in good energy, was the favourite target.
It had been all about ruining, loved by Greek society Achilles’ life, for the happiness-hater to feel larger than life… and rob everyone of their hope and future. Vanity-driven Zeus and jealous wife Hera wanted to destroy those who helped others become free from social constructs, and prosperous. Zeus in particular did not want to be seen for doing it, thus the silencing and isolation campaign on Eris’ life, that made her unhinged, yet he couldn’t stop the dreaded prophecy that Achilles was to be remembered as greater than his father… for thousands of years. Being loved and valued based on real merit, meant having more notoriety than clout-hungry Zeus… This was POETIC JUSTICE for the scheming, devaluating intent to make those with cornucopia small.
In the end, power-hungry Zeus who wanted to do damage while in his ego fury and drain others of their energy, had no real plan B for his life. He was likely lacking in focus, energy, concentration, options and opportunity, and feeling stuck, in a fog, disillusioned, depressed stagnant, or punished, because of what he energetically invested in; bad juju for others who were abundant, or had prospects for an exciting journey or a great adventure. He was operating out of strategy for luxurious excess, expecting a
sudden windfall, and some sort of glamorous gain situation, instead being trapped in the fruits of faulty reasoning, limbo or even purgatory. He was concerned about appearances, the riches, the promised land and position, but in the attaining those superficial things, he judged and projected onto others downfall and despair, and did not want to be socially nor legally held liable for the MISFORTUNES. He was likely not happy with the decisions he had made, and in his unconscious, the humiliation and embarrassment was likely brewing a bitter bile. In trying to create ANXIETY or a nightmare for another, this is what he brewed for himself, and got in return, for himself. You reap what you sow.
He was intimidated by not only his rivals or enemies, but by the well-rounded, spiritually-driven, future-thinker mavericks who lifted their head above the fray, getting the goodness that they deserved. He feared this targets having their honour restored after he demolished it, or worse, that they be seen for who they really were, after a defamation campaign; bright of light and pure of heart. Nefarious Zeus feared what would happen if he were to leave alone those pragmatic who were tuned in to the light within, to the magic of the conscious present moment, to conceive from their inner spirit, and what that would entail for their life path rapidly unfolding. Why?
He didn’t want them to be seen for their inner prosperity, which was their strength, that he did not have… Perhaps he wanted to mock them, or drive them into a corner, to make himself feel better? Perhaps he didn’t want them to have the freedom to be at peace to think clearly, else they have a LIGHTBULB MOMENT OF BRIGHT IDEAS, or put in the effort that might result in them superseding him, which was his biggest fear. Any innovation, or individuality could perhaps result in another getting all the accolades that the envier so desperately craved. Yet the deliberate distractions and manipulations dream state to derail other’s lives, was going to unravel him… what a conundrum? Instead of looking within, facing his dark aspects, the cognitive dissonance, and dealing with his overwhelming inner fears, Zeus would rather cause break-down or NARCISSISTIC INJURIES for those who were grounded, thus he perpetuated his own toxic loop. This is about the potential to get trapped with something inside of the self that is never going to develop or grow, nor mature to be in a better version of himself. He saw others as inanimate objects, and that is perhaps what he became himself? It’s a stunted growth pit, brought on by being an unaware, cold and shifty idiot, in mechanistic thinking, who refused to do self-reflection on what was driving him, allowing a timely ego death…
This is a time when the energies of the trans-Neptunian objects are strong at play in a massive shift in consciousness. We are seeing an astonishing amount of outer planets, and trans-Neptunian objects move into new zodiac signs at this time. This entails a massive shift of energy as these planets and objects move through the crisis or anarectic degree of their respective signs, which entail massive societal changes, because at the end of a zodiac sign, these objects revisit the worse characteristics of the planet/object and signs, and asks for the issues at hand to be dealt with. See the image to the left for a visual glimps into the timeframe / period that these planets/objects traverse the 29th degree of their signs. It’s a beautiful synchronised dance, that entails these objects making potent aspect patterns, like the four yods and multiple hammer of Thor aspect patterns, as well as the visual five pointed star in the astrological sky, see the charts below. Various articles on this website describe these dynamics for free, in great detail.
In creating devaluation of another’s worth and value for selfish gain, this bad juju jealousy manifests abundance blockages. What you do unto others, you really do onto yourself. Pocket-watching other’s divine spark wealth and allowing envy to grow, leads to poverty and psychological entrapment in a maze of one’s own making. Patience and ingenuity leads to bounty, and the fair treatment of others contributes to success. Growth in personal and business life, follows a feeling of well-being and satisfaction in doing one’s work. One reap what has been sowed in a previous season, to enjoy profit, stability and steady progress, or not… The moral of this story, as it pertains to the trans-Neptunian objects influence, is as follows: trying to f**k other people up, being an enemy to their good fortune or what is rightfully their gain, is a sure way to stuff yourself up real good… Remorseless Zeus was unable to connect the dots, that the lives of other’s whose plans he tried to ERASE, had a sacred sanctity, and had mattered. Perhaps he just wanted to be seen in the same light that others shining brightly were seen, and blocking their blessings and gifts, because he didn’t have any plans or something excited to look forward to. Zeus had been too focussed on other’s gifts, than to spend time and energy tending to his own, and he just didn’t see the irony of that. He seemed to want to live other’s lives as them. Just because he wanted something that another had in a ONE SIDED EGO BATTLE, and felt that only his own forced, competitive social dynamic for self-fulfilment was important, didn’t make it energetically, nor morally right.
It is possible, that from a modern point of view, Zeus had accumulated so much energetic bad karma and misfortune on himself, that he grew very bitter at any and all his rivals, as if they were objects to be annihilated. Why? Perhaps because he didn’t get all the attention, or his wish fulfilment didn’t actualise, or because he just didn’t win what he forcefully desired in general, which is why he was blocking or destroying other’s happiness. He considered other’s losing their great fortune, his satisfaction gain… that is narcissistic-type behaviour, that excludes fair energy exchange… and lacks logic.
As king of the gods holding public court of opinion, Zeus had plenty in business, wealth, position, power, and social influence, but he was abusing even that, to take from others, some of whom had much less… In the end, the predatory damage the thief had been trying to do to others in getting them taken to the court house, to be judged by society, was damaging him… In needing to be seen due to selfish IDEOLOGICAL GROUNDS, and threatening others so they don’t get seen for their vision, ideas, intellectual property or beauty… the vain leader in social engineering was seen for the adversarial darkness within, in trying to sink other’s boats, positive outcomes and life journeys…
This is why The Iliad and The Odyssey, which is conventionally dated to the late 8th or early 7th century BC, considered to have been written around 2,800 years ago, and the other ancient literature around it, are still studied and loved by many. It is relevant, because it speaks in archetypes as well as astrological influences, regarding creating false foundations, where everything cultured in bad energy, eventually caves in on itself. In this story, materialistic, opportunist Zeus was blind to what true good fortune, and living in truth really meant. He did not understand that abundance came from self-love and the human being connected to the LIGHT OF THE SOUL within, not some god complex illusion of superiority that needed to be maintained at all cost. Self-love entails NOT being disturbed and harming others, and enjoying an over-flowing, bottom-less cup of abundance that is magical… When you have plenty, there is no need to rob others of theirs…
Zeus wanted to set the precedent in society, that those who reached towards their divine blessings, break glass ceilings or attempt to surpass him, was going to get zapped with his thunderbolt, yet in the end, justice prevailed and everyone got a return on their energetic investment, in curious ways.
Many consider Jupiter energy in astrology to be about MANMADE LAWS, COURTS and “TRUTHS”, but the trans-Neptunian objects point of view, gives it quite the different perspective on what justice and tables turning is all about, regarding BURNING OTHERS when one is at the top of the wheel of fortune, and how the tides can turn. Despite skewed thinking, what’s fair is fair in grande design; that you reap what you sow, an abundance of what you energetically invest in, whatever that might be…
Jupiter transits are known to amplify and expand other that it touches, but this will not be discussed in this blog, because the trans-Neptunian objects are the main focus. However, Jupiter conjucnt trans-Neptunian objects tend to magnify the qualities of that object, in a particular zodiac sign, with its influence. In comparison to the TNOs, Jupiter moves way too fast to be mentioned here, but see the charts below, as Jupiter conjunct Uranus at the final Sedna ingress into Gemini, conjuncts Sedna later on, and falls under the Hammer of Thor apex of the powerful Pluto square Haumea aspect pattern.
