Eris conjunct Chiron: Healing Vengeance by Examining the Pain behind the Anger of Zeus King of the Gods

Image: Zeus Via Wikimedia Commons.

A previous Eris conjunct Chiron article looked at basic dynamics and the many similarities between the two astrological objects, however, this article will explore Eris’ discovery chart and the mythology, as asteroid Chiron is prominent in the chart. In early 2024, the last of the tight-ist orb between Eris square Pluto finally separated, however Eris conjunct Chiron starts mid 2024…

There is uncertainty amongst astrologers about what Eris energy is really all about, thus this has to be considered through a few of the following different lenses. Eris has such overwhelming Pluto, 8th house and Scorpio themes in its discovery chart, that it is often mistaken and mixed up with Pluto energy. Eris, Pluto and Chiron has to do with getting hurt, and then the temptation to return the heartache to another, which is what Zeus king of the gods in mythology did, aplenty… hurling thunder at others to incapacitate them, or love-bombing women leaving them with children to raise in lack of opportunities.

It’s being so hurt, that a person gets angry and lash out, with what they feel is justified in the airing of their emotions as valid, thus they want others to suffer, due to misdirection of anger.

Zeus was the archetypal pocket-watching wounded warrior chained to the devil within, just like Hesiod’s bad Eris, who was different from good Eris.

This article is about the pain of Zeus in particular and passing on the sins of the fathers, and at first, many readers will not understand how these dots connect… as Eris energy in astrology should be about Eris, right? Not quite…. as Eris is a relationship dynamic, as the discovery chart reveals. This article will briefly look at how Zeus deliberately destroyed good intentioned, earnest, loving and caring Achilles’s life, for Achilles to become what Zeus feared most anyway; the only epic hero of the Iliad, remembered, loved and respected for thousands of years as a man of exceptional fine qualities. Zeus didn’t want to see Achilles for who he really was (someone with a BIG BEAUTIFUL HEART, that was not to be underestimated, as he stood up straight in HEART CENTERED HONOUR for others who were feeling hopeless). Instead Zeus wanted to DIMINISH and DEVALUE him to the max and get him rejected by everyone (just like Eris). Achilles’ LIGHT stirred Zeus’ demons, and in wisdom, Achilles grew to understand why his effervescence, divine love and light was despised. This article won’t re-examine how Zeus blamed Eris for starting the cockamamie of the Trojan War, or how he silenced the potential whistleblower with DEFAMATION and CASTING OF ILLUSIONS, for the scheme of his and Themis’ making; to SCAPEGOAT someone else for his inner anguish within himself. No, this article looks at the naked man in the mirror whose pain, in the form of anger, he passed on to everyone around him… like he did to Eris and Achilles, with the aim for their lives to ramble aimlessly… Eris energy in astrology is all about intentions; how good intentions reap goodness, and ill intentions a cockamamie.

This article is about the cockup of the unaware, unconscious and unhealed, regarding the crises within. It’s not about poking holes at Zeus and his patriarchy though… its about examining the unhealed aspects within, crying like a child for acknowledgement... It’s about the paranoia created due to a prophecy, that created a self-fulling one as well; dragging everyone down as a result.

In reading the following, remember that Greek mythology is full of SATIRE, which is the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticise people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. As part of Eris in astrology energy, it’s about the futility of the win at all cost battles, deception to contrive a gain, and reckless mind game playing. It’s about the wasting of precious life energy on perpetuating faulty reasoning to keep the ego defensiveness up against pain, and forcing a gain instead. It’s about the BIGGER PICTURE that becomes quite evident when everything comes FULL CIRCLE, regarding those who want to CAPITALISE on creating heartache, thinking that there is going to be a benefit.

Eris energy in astrology examples show that there are very long-reaching consequences to acting on vengeance, due to anger, and ultimately, unhealed pain in the heart, or discord of the heart.

Many people don’t really have the foresight about what they set in motion when they inadvertently, or deliberately injure another, to make themselves feel better, which is a sign that there is a massive problem and insecurity…

Greek mythology is known to be the very bedrock of modern civilisation, and it is only fitting then, that many answers about our currently problems, can be found there… We need mythology, story and legend, in order to live our lives coherently, and the trans-Neptunian objects are all about becoming consciously aware of truth. You can run but you cannot hide…

In the discovery chart, object Eris in her own chart has only Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology) prominent in a grand cross. Eris at 19 degrees Aries is opposed to Jupiter and hypothetical Uranian object Zeus and Athena, and Eris trines asteroid Achilles at 21 degrees Sagittarius… Eris opposing Jupiter squares Sun, Sirius and trans-Neptunian object Varuna… so what is the root of this very particular tug of war?

Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey from 2800 years ago, seems to be the only in-tact surviving poems, from several potential later ones, but based on the trajectory of destruction in these stories, it’s not hard to gather that Zeus too built his faulty foundations based on hubris and arrogant low vibrational ego, and that his empire too would not last… like those of his forefathers Cronus and Uranus whose leadership did not…

What Zeus feared most, would eventually come to a head, as all energy seeks resolution. It’s the nature of energy, so how can it be otherwise?

How can it not want to resolve as the wheel of fortune turn? We are not meant to live our lives in emotional stasis! It’s time for embracing change.

Anger Comes from Pain? Pain about Not Being Heard or Seen, Made Obsolete?

CHIRON and ERIS

This article came into being after astrologer Tom Jacobs recently posted a video he titled Healing Vengeance, which includes healing from being hurt by the vengeful. He masterfully explains these dynamics based on his personal study of this topic for many years, as these painful, sorrowful and hopeless experiences shapes a person. He says that these dynamics have wider implications, because people don’t know how to talk about what they are holding within, in terms of their emotions being valid. Tom speaks of learning to validate one’s own feelings, instead of just loving one own self. It’s about people often feeling that someone owes them something when they have been wronged or hurt, and how to understand and heal the urge or impulse toward vengeance. He says that one’s anger, pain and how we have been shaped by experiences matters, and that we are the only one who can validate that, and free ourselves from judgement. In certain countries, vulnerability is seen as a great weakness, when it is indeed a great asset… which can particularly help over-masculine battle-wounded soldiers heal their own lives.

This is important as the first Eris conjunct Chiron starts soon, followed by more hits in 2025 and 2026… see the dates below, which is a rough estimate of when the two energies move into close orb…

To understand Zeus’ angry actions towards Achilles and then Eris, as well as everyone else, one has to understand that anger comes from pain. Also, the threat of experiencing more pain, can lead to more anger coming up as a defensive mechanism.

Zeus came into a broken family and at the mercy of tense, danger-filled situations, dodging bullets. As a baby, guardian warriors would stamp, dance and make a huge noise to drown out his crying, else he be found and devoured by his father; he was NOT HEARD. Zeus’ pain lied rooted in what seemed like living a tumultuous, ISOLATED unhealthy lifestyle as a child, as if he should feel SHAMED about his existence, UNSEEN, MADE OBSOLETE, hiding his presence in a cave, and his very existence as a free boy, from his abusive father. Some variants of the story say that Zeus was thought to be abandoned by his mother. Others, that he was concerned with his mother who was in UNENDING GRIEF about her husband whose eyes frequently glazed over with greed about staying ahead, and Zeus’ siblings who were swallowed up by their father Cronos (Saturn), who was selfishly holding all his children back out of FEAR of being superseded by them, and them SHINING BRIGHTLY and RECEIVING PUBLIC ACCLAIM, in what Cronus considered his position of leadership.

Cronus wanted to RIVAL and GATE KEEP his children permanently from reaching their own POTENTIAL or finding OPPORTUNITIES, just like his father did before him. He wanted for his children to be STUCK, UNLOVED and UNSEEN, which is deeply unprincipled and mean.

Image: Cronus / Kronus / Saturn devouring one of his children via Wikimedia Commons.

Bad father and husband Cronus valued POWER, ACQUISITION and conflict based in EGO more than his family, and seemed to DENOUNCE any other happiness it would seem, and this is what was potentially eating away at Zeus as child, spurring him to take the route he did. Perhaps he thought that it was the only way to get through his problems, with a monstrous-behaviour father who wanted to permanently end anything good in all of his children’s lives. It’s every fairytale turned upside down, due to inconceivable horrific behaviour to cut, what should be valuable family members, out. It’s a chain of events that forever changed and shaped a life, and a deep disappointment in the family paternal line, who had been following a carrot down a rabbit hole of disaster.

Corrupt Cronus had zero regard for his children’s RIGHT TO EXIST, their feelings, their self-expression, their creativity, their growth etc. He wanted his foot on their necks.

It’s the beautiful happy home, love and loyalty that could have been, and unrequited love, tossed to the ground and stomped recklessly; to create permanent damage, by a father sick to his stomach at the thought of his children’s success.

In the discovery chart, the Sun conjunct Chiron in Capricorn 10th house is directly opposed to Saturn in Cancer in the fourth house, which is where Saturn expresses the weakest in detriment. This is one of the reasons for the warmongering, Saturn wants to be in its domicile, in the 10th house Capricorn, not operating from a place of detriment. The lesson? Unhealed insecurity and wounds spill over to spoil other’s lives… which is partly why adult Zeus eventually wanted to f**k up kind-hearted Achilles so bad out of VENGEANCE, for the success that was prophesied over his life, not understanding how to deal with the pain that lied beneath his anger, nor how to heal it. Zeus wanted others to take his pain seriously, and by making bad ripples in other’s lives, making others feel the utter devastation that he had felt; he got some validation feedback from the world. Through his brutal attacks, backstabbing and insults on others, he put a smokescreen on his own insecurities, to try to hide from them, as if they are the fault of someone else outside of him… This is called psychological projection and it was MESSY… When Zeus had taken over from his vicious, punishing, HAUGHTY father Cronus (Saturn), he could not really do the work there… only be a pretender, for his experiences had shaped him, into who he was, a battle-seasoned soldier, and he did not know how to heal himself… to be a good leader and handle the required integrity, responsibility and ownership that came with being a truely kingly personality.

Zeus and the Pain through the Psychology of the Biology and Ancestral Line

In Eris’ discovery chart Chiron conjunct asteroid Themis and the Sun is in Capricorn, in the 10th house, which is Saturn’s home domain, but unfortunately Saturn is in Cancer in the fourth house, out in the cold in the house of its detriment…

Yet square the Nodes, Saturn oppose Chiron, Fortuna and Themis is about a mean authoritarian BLOCKING another person’s life path, passion, good fortune, justice and fairness, for it to deliberately inflict pain… the pain that both Zeus and Saturn was feeling, out of ego and arrogance.

The Chironic wound is in the 10th house that governs public image, professional aspirations, reputation and career achievements, and this is part of why Zeus (just like his forefathers) was foaming at the mouth… with Themis (what is fair and just?) and Fortuna (who has genuine fortune on their side?) at play… This is the pain of defamation that Zeus wanted to project onto others, like Achilles and Eris. Note how Eris in her own chart is in wide conjunction to the North Node of Fate at 28 degree Aries. The growth and destiny… is on her side… and Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology) is at the South Node, where the negative qualities of the zodiac sign of Libra expresses.

In brief, in Greek mythology, Cronus (also spelt Kronos) is a Titan and the youngest son of Uranus and Gaia. Uranus sired many children with her, but he disliked all of them. He considered them threats to his power, which is what he seemed to love above all else, which is why he JUDGED them as weird, ugly or unacceptable, and CONFINED them to Tartarus, curbing their natural right to FREEDOM, so that they are out of the PUBLIC EYE. Though some of his Titan children were be quite beautiful, PREJUDICED Uranus was so repelled by the sight of some of them, that he tried to push them back into Gaia’s womb, which caused her terrible pain, and made her resent him even more. One night, when Uranus came to Gaia, his son Cronus

ambushed him and held him down while he used the sickle to castrate him. He threw both the sickle and Uranus’ genitals into the sea, and Uranus threatened VENGEANCE, and called his sons Titenes for overstepping their boundaries and daring to commit such an act. When Cronus dethroned his father Uranus and became the world's first king, he became ruler over his siblings and fellow Titans, yet he judged and re-imprisoned some of his siblings, perpetuating his father’s INJUSTICES in leadership. Cronus married his sister Rhea and was eventually overthrown by his son Zeus, who imprisoned him. Each paternal figure was addicted to power, accumulation and wanting more of it, causing massive heartache for the mother and family. This is three generations of toxic family patterns that just kept perpetuating. You’d think someone would learn their lesson, heal themselves and break the cycle already… but these men were ambitious and blinded by many things… like their shallow, materialistic lifestyles and dogmatic thinking, while denying an emotional truth with ease.

The fear of being superseded, entails being replaced by someone or something else. It’s the fear of being set aside as void, irrelevant, useless, valueless or made obsolete, usually in favour of something else. It’s to be replaced in power, authority, effectiveness, acceptance, use, etc., as by another person or thing. To supersede, is to usurp another’s place, possession, or what they had worked, planned or strived for. To usurp, is the job of the stealthy, thieving, saboteuring, greedy or envy eyed, to take illegally or by force, wrestling another to dethrone them. It’s about causing a loss, theft or pain for another, in exchange for a self-serving gain; to be independent and unhindered in rulership.

According to Wikipedia, Cronus ENVIED the power of his father, Uranus, ‘the ruler of the universe’ and took the position by blindsiding force for clout and wealth. Cheating was the easy way.

After securing his place as the new king of gods, Cronus learned from Gaia and Uranus that he was destined to be overcome by his own children, just as he had overthrown his father. As a result, although he sired the gods Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon by Rhea, he devoured them all as soon as they were born to prevent the prophecy. When the sixth child, Zeus, was born, Rhea sought Gaia to devise a plan to save them and to eventually obtain RETRIBUTION on Cronus for his acts against his father and his own children.

The brutal acts of unkindness towards children in A BROKEN FAMILY caused Rhea "unceasing grief".

Rhea became disloyal and conspiring but with what she considered ‘justification’ for her VENGEANCE due to her cold hearted, obstinate and ambitious husband who refused to see reason. She secretly gave birth to Zeus in Crete. With a trick using a wrapped up stone in swaddling clothing, she handed it to stingy, self-centred Cronus, which he swallowed without looking at it, satisfied that he could enjoy his LOVE OF POWER for another season and not worry about a challenge to his abusive, backstabbing authority. See the image to the left.

The legacy that came down from Uranus, Cronus and onto Zeus, was that of violence against women and domestic abuse.

Image: ‘The Cave of Zeus’ on Mount Ida via Wikimedia Commons.

Zeus, however, grew up UNSEEN in secrecy on an island, some say in a cave, with the Theogony saying that Zeus grew up swiftly. Rhea gave him to the the nymphs Adrasteia and Ida to nurse. They fed him on the milk of the she-goat Amalthea, while the Kouretes (a band of mythical warriors) guarded the cave. They undertook to dance their wild, noisy war dances and beat their spears on their shields in front of the cave, so that Cronus would not hear the infant's crying. The great alarm was meant to deceive Cronus, and conceal the baby’s whereabouts from his father, but this noise can hardly be good for an infant who is left feeling UNHEARD, SHAKEN and possibly TRAUMATISED or VICTIMISED by the jarring racket. From various versions in the mythology and symbols given described on Wikipedia, it did not seem like a wholesome childhood, as it was always spent hiding, transforming himself into a different version of himself, like a snake, to hide from his father, a perpetual threat somewhere on the horizon. Always on edge, perhaps even moving around from place to place in stealth in later years…

Curiously, Wikipedia states that the period in which Cronus ruled was called the Golden Age, as the people of the time had no need for laws or rules; everyone did the right thing, and immorality was absent. Except perhaps for the immorality of narrow-minded Cronus himself, manipulating relationships, corrupted by the greed for power he held over other’s lives; to keep them dominated and stunted.

When Zeus had grown up, he used an emetic with the help of his mother to force Cronus to discharge his brothers and sisters from their father’s imprisonment. Zeus also freed other creatures from Cronus’ bowels, like the Hecatoncheires and the Cyclopes who forged for Zeus his thunderbolts, Poseidon's (Neptune) trident, and Hades' (Pluto) helm of darkness. In a vast war called the Titanomachy, Zeus and his older brothers and sisters, with the help of the Hecatoncheires and Cyclopes, overthrew Cronus and the other Titans. Afterwards, many of the Titans were confined in Tartarus, the famous place where the forefathers would be isolated from aspiring to FREEDOM. As many astrologers know, Saturn in traditional astrology is the structurer, the restrictor and devil whose ambition wanted others bound to him and his ways; he was not a pleasant man at all, pushing fear into the hearts of younger ones, lacking compassion, feeling invincible and only striving for authority, success and achievement, as represented by the negative characteristics of zodiac sign Capricorn, and the 10th house.

When Zeus eventually took over from his rigid, obstinate Saturnian father, he would lay down the LAWS of the land as it suited him (Zeus), and it would appear - from a certain point of view - that they were just as PREJUDICED, JUDGEMENTAL and UNFAIR towards other people, as the INJUSTICE imposed on him, his mother and siblings, allowing rampant abuse of power.

It’s the ill-intentioned sins of the bigoted fathers in a grab for power, visiting the children, and everyone else…

Eris’ discovery chart has significant, 8th, 9th and 10th house clusters, some speaking of great betrayal, and others of great control implemented in relationships and flow of information, and the pain of wanting to be seen in that 10th house, which is part of why Zeus wanted for Eris not to be seen by anyone, nor heard for truth telling. Eris’ discovery chart was dissected in great detail in the Eris Clout Chasing and Vanity Series, thus won’t be repeated here.

Zeus Ascension to Power Presiding over the Greek Olympian pantheon?

In Eris’ discovery chart, object Eris opposes Jupiter, but square to it there is a legacy in the fourth house in Cancer, with kingly Sirius conjunct Varuna, and the sun at the top of the chart.

The straight shooting yod is the powerful directional energy on Varuna, which is about great emotional truth and social justice, and the brightest star in the night sky is Sirius, which is a kingly star that bestows greatness when the leader is in truth and integrity, and brings a fall from grace when he is not… manifested at the Sun in Capricorn in the 10th house… yikes…

It’s about being highly thought of, or not… as a failure, as the wheel of fortune spins… which can make the fortune-hunting schemer feel sick, when their rouse backfires on them… because the envied refused to go along with the prescribed false narrative.

The Sun in Capricorn in the 10th house at the receiving end of the Boomerang Yod is also representative of the LEADERSHIP qualities that the ENVIER wants, that brings fulfilment to the ENVIED. It’s their ideas, eccentricity, vision, originality, charisma and all the things that makes them authentic self. It’s about wanting the envied’s rewards or achievements in the 10th house, but without having worked for it and certainly not a vibrational match for it. Zeus may feel entitled or spoilt to have it, and then sideswipe, battle, and elbow another out of the way to get, what is another’s abundant life. But it doesn’t work that way. Just because the entitled envier say that they don’t want the deserving to have the recognition of what they worked for, doesn’t make it so. This is the jealous dynamic of wanting what another had EARNED, like SUCCESS with effort, and if the envier can’t get the rewards, trying to make sure that the envied don’t get it either, by playing dirty… BLOCKING another’s ACHIEVEMENT, to make another down and out, depressed about losing out on what they STRIVED for.

Image: Zeus wearing a loaurel crown via Wikimedia Commons

According to the Iliad, after the 10 year long battle with the Titans, Zeus (Jupiter) shared the world with his brothers, Poseidon (Neptune) and Hades (Pluto), by drawing lots: Zeus received the sky, Poseidon the sea, and Hades the underworld, with the earth and Olympus remaining common ground. Yet as soon as Zeus ascended to power as ruler of the cosmos, in came in the challenges to power. According to Wikipedia, the Giants who are offspring to Gaia, were the first to battle Zeus for control, then there was Gaia’s giant serpentine monster Typhon, and in the Iliad, Homer tells of another later attempted overthrow, in which Hera, Poseidon, and Athena conspired to overpower Zeus and tie him in bonds. According to the Theogony, in the BITTERNESS of his anger, Zeus cast the monster Typhon into wide Tartarus, and from this we can derive that Zeus grew BITTER at others trying to overthrow his rule. It is perhaps this bitterness, that made him obsessed with what is meant for another…

Warrior Zeus with his HOARDED POWER to INFLUENCE other’s lives in terms of who gets and who is made to be without, in GREED, ended up playing a dominant role, presiding over the Greek Olympian pantheon. He fathered many of the heroes (who got killed in his scheme the Trojan War), but he had a lot of issues due to being shaped and marred by his traumatic past. Zeus was ill equipped with being a real leader of society who served the collective good, instead of on a battlefield, where there is competition, battles and rivalry… TO WINAS SOLE VICTOR. There was no room for anyone else to get rewards, despite the smoke and mirrors… and misdirection of anger.

Zeus took his toxic family environment, and created a toxic work place with his council. Another article explained how Eris take-overs happen, with the hubristic electing themselves criticiser, judge and jury, using words to injure. Being versatile, and using the right moment, to bring a target down with a blast of abusive energy, sneak attack, or accusation tactics.

Despite taking on ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES that were seen as judicious, mature, powerful, pious or balanced (perhaps even Saturnian), he clearly did not have those qualities that a fair leader should have had, as what little he did wasn’t that productive or abundant for everyone… Strategic Zeus punished the worst villains of myth for their impiety and crimes against the gods including Tantalos who stole ambrosia from heaven, Lykaon (Lycaon) who served human flesh to the gods, Ixion who attempted to rape Zeus' wife the goddess Hera, and Salmoneus who tried to imitate Zeus and steal the worship that was due the gods. There was a lot of toxic energy, immaturity, dangling of carrots, and meaningless conflict that was not really productive for the good of all… you reap what you sow… that’s why the situation is toxic.

Zeus Swallowing his own Children to Stifle their Potential, Fearful of their Ambitions or Conspiracy?

According to Greek mythology, Zeus assumed the governance of Olympus after defeating the Titans, who were led by his father Cronos, in a battle that lasted ten years. In ARROGANCE and distain for his father, Zeus sexually molested the Titan Metis, one of his first unholy actions after taking over Olympus, resulting in a pregnancy… and one of his biggest FEARS BEING TRIGGERED.

Image: Athena bearing the aegis via Wikimedia Commons.

As an oracle announced that the son of this connection would dethrone Zeus, and upon advice from Uranus and Gaia, Zeus swallowed Metis when she was about to give birth to their daughter Athena, fulfilling the prophecy that condemned children to imitate their parents. Such irony…

Zeus then had an excruciating, all consuming headache, that was relieved by a craniotomy performed by an ax. The result of this procedure was the birth of Athena, goddess of wisdom, who sprang directly from the brain of Zeus, in full battle armour, with a battle cry. Athena emerged already a grown woman, and a great warrior and battle strategist to boot, although the much feared son didn’t arrive. Wise, owl-eyed Athena was known to never loose a battle, so what would Zeus’ fate be should he challenge her? You guessed it right…

When Zeus was asked to be the judge regarding who was the fairest, and most beautiful to be rewarded the golden apple of Eris, he knew to decline as adjudicator, as making an enemy out of any of the three women, which included his daughter Athena and jealous, revengeful later wife Hera, would be a disaster for him… However, a disaster Zeus wanted, which is why he chose hapless Paris to be made judge instead, in what became The Judgement of Paris setup for a massive war.

Athena could certainly have taken vengeance on bully Zeus for his tyranny; treating good, innocent people like they were resources or objects to extract a treasure from.

A scholiast on the Iliad suggests that Zeus held onto his power because he successfully swallowed the threat, in the form of the potential mother, and so the "cycle of displacement" was thought to have been brought to an end… but the threatening progeny came forth anyway… in a backfire effect…

Zeus, like this forefathers, was acting out of PAST CONDITIONING and unconscious expectations, regarding another wanting their downfall, and in turn, wanting others to lower themselves for them.

When each were wounded during childhood trauma, something essential was STOLEN from them, which is why they each adapted and accepted a particular version of the truth, that would set each up in the future, for failure. How? When faced with a similar situation that reminded of the original event, it would act like a TRIGGER. Past experiences thus become a LIMITATION IN PERCEPTION, that would ‘justify’ bad behaviour towards others, resulting in actions like trying to make others feel UNWORTHY or VALUELESS, by blocking their progress in life, like trying to foster IMPOSTER SYNDROME on another, to steal their HOPE and POTENTIAL.

In trying to create LIMITATIONS for others, Zeus would reveal himself living through the lens of his trauma, and faulty thinking, to others. Zeus was living a lie, twisting stories around to block forward movement and expansion for others.

Both Cronus and Zeus felt ENTITLED to succession, yet neither of them wanted their offspring to supersede them, because they didn’t want to take accountability nor face the ramifications of their bad actions towards others.

Both wanted to steal other’s lives, like theirs had been stolen; these are called the bitter unhealed wounds of the past, that dictate and soil the present moment with their gravity.

Zeus Stifling the Potential of Young Women Perhaps Hoping for a Good Partnership or Happy Marriage?

A previous article described in detail how SWEET TALKER Zeus was famous for INCONSISTENCY, assuming FORM OTHER THAN HIS TRUE SELF with a very long list of innocent women that he preyed on, utilising means that carried imagery of innocence, virtue and purity. He did this by EMOTIONALLY BONDING with them, coming across as very NICE, SWEET or a DAMSEL in need of HELP, PROTECTION or a knight to provide for him, perhaps even angelic, but definitely diplomatic based on what he wanted. He seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve, smiling straight into young women’s faces. Only, the Mr Nice Guy that professed to be genuine, acting like a friendly ally, was a rouse. (These are Eris in astrology issues.) Zeus utilised inappropriate use of sensuality and attraction filled with romantic illusion; to fool.

Image: Leda and the swan via Wikimedia Commons.

Perhaps his most famous TRANSFORMATION and seduction was beautiful Leda, through the appearance to fool her… as a beautiful, graceful white swan needing rescue, due to seemingly being a victim of an attack. It was said that he seduced Leda Queen of Sparta in the disguised form of a seemingly innocent SWAN, coming to her seeking protection from an eagle, abusing her generosity, graciousness and care. Despite a parentage dispute, the result of this union was an egg from which the beautiful Helen was born, that became Helen of Sparta / Troy in the Iliad, over whom the Trojan War was fought.

Danae was a Greek princess that was seduced in the form of a GOLDEN SHOWER and thus impregnated. Hera was seduced by Zeus - who later forced marriage on her - in the form of a CUCKOO BIRD in distress. Hera felt pity for the bird, and held it to her breast to warm it, which is where Zeus turned into his original form and allegedly raped her. All these women might have hoped for true intentions and good character in a steady partner, not gaslighting, love bombing, pretences of virtue or foolery with unwanted long-term consequences.

It would be clear in hindsight that Zeus wanted to squelch their innocence and their inner child.

Being unfaithful was clearly a preference for this voyeuristic player, for mythology shows that Zeus knew right from wrong very, very well…

Zeus was the friendly, warm lover from hell, who BONDED WITH THESE WOMEN EMOTIONALLY, and by being KIND or CHARMING, pretending CHEMISTRY, thinking that by connecting on this INTIMATE level (symbolised by the 7th and 8th house conjunctions in the discovery chart), BLINDSIDING them, that they wouldn’t be able to spot that it was actually the foe, right under their noses, doing them dirty, throwing punches at them in attack. He left them with the impression of higher level commitment, innocent passion, or loyalty in relationship, for them to release their trust, yet his aim was a determined BETRAYAL and SEDUCTION. This is SOCIOPATHIC BEHAVIOUR. He knew that those he TORMENTED were good and pure on the inside and outside. All that BEAUTY seems to have been a problem for him. His damsel mental games, corrupting bad behaviour and poor character was certainly a problem for those who had to raise his bastard children, and contend with his jealous, raging wife Hera, who could not stand their presence.

Many would have liked their VENGEANCE on over-indulging Zeus abusing leadership position, for selfishly destroying their reputation, happiness and their lives… by putting them in a bitter labyrinth of some sort, or deep night of the soul experience, that last a long time, or wanting them to beg or grovel for handouts.

From their point of view, it might have been very clear that conspiring Zeus just wanted to put their LIGHT out, as a mean, devilish and petty bully doling out narcissistic injuries. He was the begrudging crook crying wolf, in order to gain the trust, assistance or co-operation of others to do evil and the deceitful; to destroy another’s life.

Zeus was likely seen as the BLESSING-BLOCKER, who from INSTITUTIONAL POSITION tried to create a NIGHTMARE for honourable young women, with their wholes lives ahead of them, to ruin their prospects and leave them in SHAME.

Zeus Stifling the Potential of Just About Everybody Else on Earth?

After making Metis his first wife, Zeus became enamoured with Thetis (with a T), but Themis (with an M) was an oracle who predicted that Thetis (with a T) would bear a son stronger than his father. Themis was Zeus’ second wife, and the one on his council doing all the work in the justice system, to keep order, with her holding of the scales with a blindfold... which she needed in order to look the other way when there was injustice… Both Zeus and his brother Poseidon (Neptune) was in love with Thetis, but the prediction put both off. Zeus did not want to risk following in the footsteps of both his father (Cronus) and grandfather (Uranus) by being violently overthrown. To maintain his power, he abandoned Thetis to pursue, compromise and marry Hera instead. Zeus had seven wives, and Hera was the most famous for her VENGEANCE on the cheat of a husband, when she was eternally faithful to him.

So great was Zeus’ pain, fear and insecurity about offspring superseding him, or another man becoming ‘more powerful’ than him, mastering their craft, that Zeus determined that the prophecy surrounding Thetis was TOO DANGEROUS for any of the gods to risk marrying her.

The devils on his shoulders told him that he should be a devil as well, and stuff Thetis’ son up real good… to stay first in line… to feel satisfied about himself, his invincible ego and his privileged situation…

This is why Zeus forced goddess Thetis to marry a mortal called Peleus instead, thinking that Thetis having a child with a mortal would be a great disadvantage to the prediction made around the feared but coveted child. It was at this wedding reception that Eris was influenced by Themis (with a M) to throw the golden apple into the wedding crowd. This led to hapless Paris made judge by Zeus, whose poor judgement drove a wedge between everyone, especially Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. This insecurity about which of the three women would win, each with amazing qualities, led to the Judgement of Paris. With the pain and then the immense anger at Paris’

hasty, faulty judgement of their qualities, created, this was a key prerequisite to the outbreak of the Trojan War. Book 24 of the Iliad lines 30-33 explains that unfortunate Paris were CONTEMPTUOUS and PREJUDICED of the goddesses, and it states that he had chosen “the one who volunteered to serve his dangerous lust” for the most beautiful woman in the world, to become his object for social climbing. It was Paris’ weakness and folly that made him support Aphrodite and make the over-indulgent, greedy and thoughtless choice, which created such DISCORD IN THE HEART in goddesses Hera and Athena, that it fuelled the bloody Trojan War, with a burning fire within…

Thetis worked very diligently to ensure that her son would be protected from GRUDGE-HOLDER Zeus when he became an adult. The mother knew that Zeus would want to put her son IN A CAGE or CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT, to prevent him from SHINING as the magnificent character that he would become in human history, as foretold by the oracle. She dipped the child in the river Styx to grant him immortal strength, but as she held him by the ankle, his Achilles-heel would not receive the same protection as the rest of his body.

Achilles had been the man that Zeus wanted to not only ruin, but destroy, because in the end, admired Achilles became known, loved and remembered for thousands of years, as the only epic hero of the Iliad.

Perhaps this glory is what Zeus wanted for himself, but he clearly had too many bad experiences and made choices that shaped him negatively, and had too many unhealed aspects, to ever qualify for such a lofty position, seeing that he was hurtling delicate lies, love-bombing, bitterness and other insincere, stealth projections and influence at others in some form, hurting them…

Well-respected, lion-hearted Achilles had been deeply affectionate, caring, and filled of temperance, due to the wise education that his level-headed father Peleus had provided for him.

Achilles was admired for his patient, truthful, caring and grounded character, that he managed to culture, due to wise teacher Chiron’s fine education, and was a man of value, significance and importance in ancient Greek society. Of pure heart, spirit and ingenuity.

Chiron? Yes, Chiron… A good childhood influence with Chiron shaped hot tempered Achilles into a lovely, earnest man, but it was not the same for father-less Zeus, which is perhaps why envious Zeus deliberately schemed in the background to f**k him up real good by stirring discord in his heart through the people who he loved, like Briseis and his best friend Patroclus, and removing love and support from his life. It’s like Zeus felt threatened by Achilles’ passion for life and prosperity, because he was driven by different things, like the ego, which ultimately, never satisfies... All the details can be found in this article.

The point is that sanctimonious Zeus’ leadership and status had little enduring legacy in terms of wholesome long term impact, based on the perception through the lenses studied on this website.

Zeus had little integrity, telling his wife Hera perpetual lies, fooling around with the lives of countless men and women, bringing them sorrow, fathering children all over the place, and creating discord amongst the people of the earth with his scheme called the Trojan War, to considerably decrease the human population as well.

What a shady, unhealed festering weak-ass with selfish motivations, who lack good character, compared to today’s standards of a good, sensible man who has values, and can admit their mistakes and look within?

Zeus’ Contribution to Society? Only I shall Shine and be First in Line

This is the astrology of conspiracy, domination, bad leadership and bad business like few other…

Social climbing Zeus’ CONTRIBUTION to present and future, can be seen as a great teaching tool by today’s standards… from a certain point of view…

Begrudging Zeus was so full of contradictions, in wanting all the positive spotlight on him, yet when it shone on him, what became illuminated was a manipulative, conniving man who was enemy to everyone who aspire to healthy success of their own making, by their own merit.

Zeus wanted everyone bound to him, the selfish devil, as source of charity, just like his cruel and critical father Cronus had been the devil in his life, TO WIN POWER.

Zeus was the wounded warrior chained to the devil within for an affluent lifestyle.

It’s the patterns and sins of the fathers left to reign, unless a person learns how they can heal themselves from the toxic pattern, of causing suffering for others.

Why? Because he had been in unable to heal his pain, and left certain aspects of himself that had been disowned in childhood, out in the cold, to cry later in life begging for acknowledgement, which he would not give them.

When he came into power of Olympus, Zeus only cared about his own situation with his family, and for a certain false perspective to be created against those like Eris and Achilles, to be not seen by anyone as wholesome, and be passed on. He installed his council, like Themis, Athena and other ENABLERS who ENTERTAINED THE SITUATION, who did all the real work to bring public image, social order and so-called justice to society on earth, and he just wanted to sit on that throne and be admired. For what? To soak up praise, be celebrated, or enjoy the outward appearances of his accomplishments? Having torn others down?

Gold digger Zeus wanted to put others into a box, keep them SMALL and indoctrinate them; chained and powerless to his false narrative or inversion. They must not surpass him, be HEARD, be SEEN, nor OUTSHINE him. Unfortunately it didn’t take much to surpass him in terms of good character, good heart, self-discipline, the following of one’s own bliss, and real merit, which is why his ANGER, INSTABILITY and his PROJECTIONS had to be levelled at those game-changing rebels who challenged the status quo, and his smoke and mirrors, like Eris and Achilles.

Zeus did not want to see their potential, or for it to reach full bloom, nor for others to see it either… this is why the situation was so toxic… Zeus did not want to admit that his time was up, for someone else to come and take the reigns or win. His DENIAL was all about others who have great potential, because he got used to getting his way, and having a lot of attention. He wanted to stay in position and status, and was too afraid to admit the truth, out of fear of speaking it into existence.

The hidden agenda was a destructive seed, to put out, block and keep down other’s light who have a lot of offer, because monolith Zeus was in his ego, being top dog, not interested in fostering growth or innovation, instead invested in squelching; this is not leadership or good business. This attempt at destiny swap is unstable and painful for everyone.

No Mea Culpa from the Scandalous King of the Gods Gatekeeper

In the Trojan War, Athena took the side of Achilles, and offered him and the Achaean army protection, therefore Zeus could not take any of the actions that he schemed to create Achilles’ downfall publicly, where he would be seen for his true intentions. Athena was known to never loose a battle, her side would always be victorious in the end, which it was. However, Zeus was used to pretending impartiality, hiding, sneaking, while stirring the pot, triangulating others, and changing his appearance into something false, to fool another. The Trojan War affected everyone on earth, and also all the gods and goddesses who had mortal children on earth, who died in brutal battle. It was a sorrowful event of massive proportions, all blamed on Eris. However the truth is more simple, in not taking ACCOUNTABILITY or OWNERSHIP for the crises within, nor for taking bad actions, it’s always someone else’s fault or mistake. Zeus would never acknowledge that all this domination was his wrongdoing and wrong-thinking.

The Trojan War was an epic devastation of human life, just so that Zeus could get rid of his threatening insecurity; Achilles.

Achilles had been given opportunities, had a loving and nurturing childhood, self-esteem, real love and a good father who provided him with acknowledgement and encouragement.

Achilles never meant Zeus no harm nor challenge in his life, but famously acknowledged the ENVY.

In the movie Troy, Brad Pitt as Achilles said that he was convinced that the gods were ENVIOUS of mortals. He was referring to Zeus and himself, and Zeus acting as if Achilles did something wrong to him, which is a sign of the faulty thinking that accompany envy, that says that the envier is more worthy as the deserving, and always right about everything, perhaps passing himself off as an angel in the justice and fairness department.

Talk of one’s own insecurity creating a miserable life for oneself… all done by consciously making bad choices in low esteem and taking action with long-term consequences, but being in denial, unaware and operating life with little consciousness of the inner crises. Always scheming for instant gratification out of secrecy, as a fake good person, tapping into low vibrational energy to put someone else down and out, gaslighting, with some stupid outcome further down the line, biting the ass of the foolhardy gatekeeper… Zeus was only interested in fancy, luxurious lifestyle, being seen, having influence, domination, riches, ostentation, appearances, manipulating to get all the final rewards, asserting himself, playing games, etc. His worth was tied to what he had, who he knew, what circles he was in, which is why a loss of that would be absolutely devastating to him. That is why he did not value the innovation, vibrant creativity, industrious work, beauty and truths coming from the likes of Achilles or Eris. Zeus did not want to face himself nor what he created as a creator being.

Zeus didn’t care about Achilles’ genius strategies, achievement or contribution of work to win the Trojan War, like everyone else in collaboration who was on the Achaean army’s side did. Why? Zeus knew that he had staged the circumstances that led to the Trojan War, and had fed it with discord of the heart to fuel the flames, with the primary purpose of the cause that he had created; to destroy Achilles and make him fall flat on his face in everyone’s eyes. That was the goal, so that Zeus could continue to sit on his pedestal with no rivals in sight, having eliminated them all.

Position and rank in society was his delight and achievement. Zeus was NOT HEROIC NOR NOBLE, and could not handle the power he derived from his influence over others. He had been wearing a mask, as if he were good… The opportunistic LEACH in malice just wanted his COME-UP, while sabotaging others from opportunities that were theirs, for fancy lifestyle.

Vicious Zeus was out of order, despite having the obligation to act fairly and in the best interest of others. A fiduciary is a person who holds a legal or ethical relationship of trust with one or more other parties, yet there was no real benefit for those under Zeus’ leadership; as PETTY SELF INTEREST prevailed, under a guise of righteousness.

Zeus lacked the ability to be EMPATHIC like Achilles, that is why he was ENVIOUS of his abundance, life and his rewards. He was afraid of being SUPERSEDED by a visionary man who thought in an abstract way, had a BIG HEART and who CARED about others, which is why he wanted to block society from being CHARITABLE towards Achilles, and inadvertently, listening to what Eris had to say.

People like Eris and Achilles learnt to completely withdraw from liabilities like Zeus, because in lustful Zeus trying to scheme against others, and re-invent himself for the fake facade to be believed, he only ends up destroying himself and everything around him; to win power and influence.

In the discovery chart, Jupiter (Zeus) was in a win-at-all-cost battle in tension with temperance, actually being a good leader and shining brightly, in opposition to Eris speaking the truth about him in independence.

It was in the very last year of the 10 year long Trojan War, that Achilles briefly decided to stop fighting for the cause, in which people in positions of leadership, like Agamemnon, made bad judgements and manipulative choices for their own self-aggrandisement, at his expense. Achilles saw the futility of giving and being generous to those who just wanted to f**k him up real good.

Healing Solutions: Aspectology and Sexual Energy School

Zeus wasn’t able to love himself as a divine being, nor able to heal himself from the crises within, regarding Achilles getting love, support and attention. He didn’t want others to see how amazing Achilles were, and wanted him subservient to him, to which Achilles rebelled.

It is quite obvious in reading this article, that there was never going to be an admittance of wrongdoing from the self-absorbed, inconsiderate, STAGNANT abuser. It was totally up to those who were hurt to heal themselves, forgive the injustice for their own sake, to move on, GROW and SHINE for who they really are, being adored and respected in their own limelight, like in a Cinderella story, which is an Eris in astrology theme. Many history experts showed Achilles deserved to be put on a pedestal, being the only epic hero in a messy situation…

From a psychological perspective, it is obvious to see that Zeus was highly burdened by the TEMPERANCE (Varuna) of those who he targeted. Why? His more mature, enduring targets, like Achilles, had a lot of self-restraint, self-discipline and moderation in action, thought or feeling to outlast, which are perseverant KINGLY ATTRIBUTES (Sirius). Achilles had voluntary self-restraint due to being tempered by wounded healer Chiron’s teachings, and despite being a highly passionate man, had habitual moderation in the indulgence of his natural appetite for the pleasures of life.

Chiron in astrology signifies our deepest wounds and vulnerabilities, as well as our ability to turn those challenges into strengths. It shows us how we can heal ourselves and others through personal growth and self-awareness.

Chiron is in the 10th house in Eris’ chart, which is about public acclaim and how one is seen in the world, despite the grand cross fracas (Chiron opposed to Saturn square the bendings).

Zeus on the other hand, had no such QUALITIES due to living in his shadow side. He acted with knee-jerk reactions, out of unhealed pain, flew into a fit of rage, having little understanding of the consequence of how his selfish, rash, out of control actions would bite him - and everyone else - in the ass later down the line. Lies may travel quick, but the truth prevails, and it did. Zeus was burdened by his reckless lack of self-restraint, resulting in his win at all cost battle behaviour, only seeing in hindsight, the utter despair and heartbreak caused, which is what he initially wanted… And Achilles was known and remembered for thousands of years, SHINING (Sun) for who he really was anyway (Sun in Capricorn 10th house)…

It is also important to note that the Boomerang yod starts with Neptune (illusions, confusions, deceptions) sextile Quaour (enlightenment, karmic completion).

Yes, with Eris energy the truth prevails, no matter the length or breadth of the concoction and resulting chaos.

Human understanding of psychology has improved considerably through the years, and many people have a good understanding of their immature actions, like taking vengeance, is going to harm them more than help them. Also, the targeted need not be energetically bound to the effects of ill-intentions of an abuser. There are many keys that someone seeking healing can turn to find relief from the agony of abuse, rejection and betrayal. The very best solutions to Eris issues that his astrologer has ever seen, are two of the core online courses hosted by the Crimson Circle. These two courses deal with all Eris issues very eloquently, and is channeled by ascended masters Tobias and Adamus Saint Germain.
