Multi-talented Chiron was trusted and notable throughout Greek mythology for his youth-nurturing nature and teaching ability. It entails emotional mastery and mastery of the healthy employment of the senses, to live a balanced life rooted in one’s divinity. In the discovery chart, the grand cross is between Chiron at 3 degrees Taurus fourth house, opposing asteroid Asclepius at 1 degree Scorpio tenth house conjunct Pallas Athena at 1 degrees , squaring Mars at 2 degrees Leo in the 8th house, and fixed star Altair at 1 degrees Aquarius in the second house. This particular of a grand cross is GREAT TENSION without a resolution for the conflicting energies. This is a CARDINAL GRAND CROSS that involves combative Mars in Leo opposed to the metaphorical scouting eyes and opportunistic snatching with talons of fixed star Altair in Aquarius, as an extension of Zeus, that is in tension with teacher Chiron and student turned legendary healer Asclepius.

Chiron Transits:

In Chiron’s myth, he was wounded twice: once at birth via the rejection of others, and the second time toward the end of his life when he had already gained a reputation for being a fine teacher and healer. This is the sore spot and core wounding that is re-experienced, as Chiron can bring up a flood of emotions around this wound and serve as a time to release what's no longer serving, regarding self-doubt or unresolved pain, so that the floodgates can open for healing.

During a Chiron transit, we may find ourselves confronting old wounds and traumatic events that we thought we had healed or forgotten. These issues may resurface, causing us to deal with them in a new and more meaningful way. However, it's important to remember that Chiron's transits can also bring up our unique talents, abilities and stir new potentials. Chiron starts to conjunct trans-Neptunian object Eris in July 2024, with direct hits in 2025 and 2026. Together with Eris they form the reaction point of a Boomerang Yod with Haumea at the apex.
