Chiron, Covert Competitive Attacks and Gathering Strength and Inner Resources Through a Transformation

This article is part 4 of the Chiron and the Merit Making of the Wise Mentor’s Discovery Chart Series, that looks at the discovery chart of Chiron the great teacher, instructor, and wounded healer. Chiron had substance and character, and saw the yet unearthed sacred beauty in youths who needed his guidance and teachings, to become men of honour, of honed skills and genuine merit. Chiron was the half man, half centaur who rose from massive rejection, isolation and wounding, OVERCOMING into possibly one of the most principled and respected men of his time, having mastered the emotions.

CHIRON

This information is important, as Eris conjunct Chiron in astrology, in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and understanding the dynamics of this transit, will be important to help humanity, especially since both Eris and Chiron seem to have issues around rivalry, jealousy, sense of superiority and brutal competition to be the winner, as is evident in both their discovery charts. Eris’ discovery chart was dissected in the Eris Clout Chasing and Vanity 11 Part Series. This was compiled in the lead up to a solar eclipse conjunct Chiron.

This article looks at the 8th house in Chiron’s discovery chart, because both Chiron and Eris has Mars in the 8th house, and this is pivotal to understanding the warring energy of those who are ambitious to take a fortune or resources, that belongs to another, to create losers versus winners via false perceptions.

Investment in Self-Care and Building on Solid Foundation: From Student to Mastery to Wise Teacher

In Greek mythology, Chiron's story is one of abandonment, growth, betrayal, pain, and ultimately, transformation. Yet in later life people would find solace and safety under Chiron’s ‘umbrella’, because he knew pain and as a result had great empathy. Positive role model Chiron had an aura of ‘safe space’, wisdom and maturity that others could thrive in. He had a lot of knowledge and education on life, love and self-care, which is why young people really listened to him, trusted him and gravitated towards him, despite his appearance. He had a wealth of information and experience that he drew from. Chiron had a big heart and a lot to give, but he had to learn to be selective, because not all attention is good attention…

Chiron was first abandoned by his mother and unacknowledged by his father, as was explained in previous articles in the discovery chart series. He was isolated and alone (Chiron conjunct Sedna in Taurus) when his foster father-to-be Apollo took him into his family. Here, from the safety provided in a family unit (4th house), Chiron had the opportunity to LEARN TO INVEST IN HIMSELF (Taurus) and BUILD HIS OWN RESOURCES and SELF-CARE based on the knowledge that was willingly shared with him in the family (4th house), by allowing himself to be a teachable student. He learnt battle strategist skills from Apollo and Artemis that would be very valuable as a VOCATION in the future ( Chiron opposed to Pallas Athena in the10th house), shining as a LIGHT TO OTHERS (Varda conjunct Sun in Libra 10th house).

Chiron had to be patient, focussed and diligent, because some of the skills he was learning, required tremendous investment of his energy. Astrology for example, takes many, many years to master, and accurate mathematical calculations were essential for an accurate assessment of the position of the stars, at any given moment in time. Chiron had to give of himself and also reciprocate with his teachers. It took a great deal of time, to attain such MASTERY, as to be able to open a school for young boys, to be receiving a STIRLING EDUCATION in a great variety of subjects. Chiron must have really applied himself TO HIS OWN BETTERMENT, above what was initially expected from someone who had similar appearance to a brutal, brash and impulsive centaur, known to be no-good-to-society nobodies. He must have worked very diligently, as is typical of the zodiac sign Taurus, who are the hard-working, generous master builders of the twelve signs that take great PRIDE in their work, and choose their battles. Thanks to the opportunities given to him, Chiron culturing his own opportunities by investing many hours into perfecting his crafts, skills and strategies, he was able to become a great teacher that had a large variety of skills to impart.

Chiron was a very patient, graceful and resourceful man (Chiron in Taurus), with a code of ethics, who had to deal with young men of great virility (square to Mars in Leo) and temper them with wisdom (opposed to Pallas Athena in Libra) into honourable, skilful men who had great inner resources (Mars in 8th house), who could control themselves.

Chiron also had tension with grown up men with ill intentions and covert attacks, who were impulsive, edgy, and confrontational, who wanted to compete to hoard all the wealth for themselves (Mars in 8th house), and dominate others from convention, for security, power or money.

Chiron was the wisest, most just and humane of all centaurs, serving as an instructor of the Greek heroes.

From his own cornucopia given to him by his adoptive father Apollo, Chiron invested heavily into his student’s future wealth ad position in society as great leaders, so they would make the right kind of choices, because they had been given skills, knowledge and a platform, from which to thrive, instead of being delinquents who acted on their lower natures, that created a cock-up for everyone else, or had nothing of value to offer society.

Greek mythology is known to be the very bedrock of modern civilisation, and it is only fitting then, that many answers about our currently problems, can be found there…

We need mythology, story and legend, in order to live our lives coherently.

Good Intentions behind Building Wealth and the Envy Eyed Taking Over of Another’s Wealth

This is about the good intentions to build and be generous, and the waste of it in the face of destruction. This is about ruining something good for another, to get rich off of it.

As Taurus is the sign of the STEADFAST master builder, the opposite zodiac sign Scorpio is the sign of stewarding other’s wealth, and here it is interesting that the powerful directional energies of Eris in Aries sextile Varuna in Gemini, makes a Yod apex on Uranus conjunct Ixion in the 11th house. This is representative as the great shocks and betrayals that was experienced, by Chiron, as he had GOOD INTENTIONS in the mentoring of a large number of students, only for them to be pitted against each other in the Trojan War in destruction, which was ultimately the scheme of his half-brother Zeus, who was afraid of a prophesy that was made, that Achilles (Chiron’s most notable student), would become a great man indeed. In effect, by planning the Trojan War with Themis, to ultimately make Achilles fall flat on his face in society, Zeus was also killing his own children, as well as many of Chiron’s students; a great shocking betrayal indeed. It was Zeus who wanted to destroy those who helped others…

Mars in Leo in the 8th house is in a curious position indeed, being in MUTUAL RECEPTION with the Sun in Scorpio. Mars is also in the traditional house of its EXALTATION, thus it is very powerful in this position, as Mars is the traditional ruler of the 8th house. It also receives a square from the luminary that Mars is in mutual reception with, resulting in a t-square apex on Mars in Leo in the 8th house. Mars here is like a vacuum that sucks in much of the energy in the chart, just like the Moon in Cancer and Venus in Libra are in their signs of DOMICILE. This seems to suggest a lot of purity, authenticity and expression of ease of Chiron in the higher expression, however, the 8th house is the house known for things getting dark, revengeful, dangerous and even stagnant… as jealousy and desire for COVERT ATTACK is stirred and envy grows about another’s accumulated victories, natural talents, achievements, spiritual strenght and wealth. See this article for an in depth exploration regarding Mars in the 8th house in Eris’ discovery chart. The men represented by Mars in Leo in Chiron’s chart were all highly CREATIVE (Leo), however all that playful ingenuity led to TOXICITY and BAD VIBES (8th house). With industrious Chiron having built his own RESOURCES and LEGACY (Taurus 4th house), also INVESTING into the wealth in his student’s CREATIVITY (Mars in 8th house), for them to become great men, this was bound to create a situation where the green eyed monster would surface, in multiple ways. Why? This was playing out in the Greek social scene, which was ruled by the jovial king of the sky and heavens, Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology) himself…

According to this website, Jupiter or Iuppiter is a vocative compound derived from the archaic Latin Iovis and pater (Latin for father). Linguistic studies identify the Latin theonym Jupiter as having derived from the phonologically similar proto-Indo-European compound *dyēus- pəter-, which refers to the "Father God," ruler of the daytime sky.

In astrology, Jupiter is all about EXPANSION and seeking GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES, but in the negative expression, this is what biased Zeus sought for himself, and himself alone…

Why would bigoted Zeus be so selfish? Why would Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology) devise a plan (the Trojan War) that would kill many of his own mortal children, wipe out many of Chiron’s students, and significantly depopulate the earth, when he had been bestowed the title of ‘FATHER’? There is great irony in this because just because he sired all those children, it doesn’t mean that he carries the positive qualities of actually being a good dad, that would nurture the potential of his own children. No, Jupiter negative expression is about the over-inflated ego. The prophecy that oracle Themis (with an M) made, that Thetis (with a T) would bear a son more powerful than his father, stirred Zeus’ insecurities and caused him to scheme the public demise of this particular son (Achilles), for the prophecy over his life, to fall flat like a pancake. This is the stuff of the 8th house… and why Chiron in the 4th house, who is actually a great parental figure, would be in tension (square) to it…

Chiron was a man of great energetic sensitivity, who understood fatherhood. Chiron had true morality; these are the principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong, good and bad behaviour, as well as real love and fake love and care.

The irony is that prejudiced Zeus was NO FATHER FIGURE to the vast majority of the children he sired. He couldn’t care less about them, and those who he perhaps would have liked to connect with, like Hercules, was HATED with a vengeance by his wife Hera who nurtured the poisonous hydra to kill him, that would in effect, cause great wounding for Chiron (see part 1 and 2 to understand the conjunction of asteroid Hera with Pluto, Venus, Vesta and the North Node on the MC in Chiron’s discovery chart). It was builder and merit-maker Chiron who ended up being the true, caring FATHER FIGURE due to being entrusted with these young boys, to grow and educate them into honourable adulthood. He INVESTED a lot of time in them and grew to truely, genuinely love them. Chiron took the responsibility, for providing them with the opportunities, that some of their biological fathers would not. He invested in building their worth, maturity and their future.

Image; Peleus holding baby Achilles and Chiron via Wikimedia Commons.

A previous Eris conjunct Chiron article shows that the one man that Zeus had every reason to ENVY, was the man who he feared most, who he was covertly attacking; Achilles.

Achilles had a most loving, devoted good role-model father named Peleus and even his mother Thetis (with a T) could be commended for striving for the very best for her son.

This may be seen as the dark REVENGE for someone else having resources, or talents, opportunities, or family connections, that they do not, thus the envy and revenge to leave another out and take everything from them… It is done out of spite, to disable the spiritually wealthy, so they don’t get their rewards… Unfortunately those who do these horrible things to others, may never attain their own spiritual wealth, because their ill-intent leaves them in poverty… thus their anger, hatred, fury and righteous rage… This is how jealous people react when things don’t go their way, which is signified by Mars in the 8th house…

Mars in the 8th house Leo is about the triumph of reason, honesty and honour, over under handed behaviour.

It’s about the laws of cause and effect. It’s about having the inner strength and confidence not to be swayed by the opinions of others. It’s internal balance achieved by being temporarily unattached to an outcome, and having the patience to allow Justice time to determine Her course, as Mars and Chiron is also in thigh aspect with Pallas Athena in Scorpio in the 10th house, as well as opposed to asteroid Themis in Aquarius. It’s having the courage, strength, and conviction to uphold and implement fairness.

Chiron/Sedna in Taurus in the 4th house square Mars in Leo in the 8th house is very important in reading Chiron’s chart, as it is one of the tightest significant aspect sthat Chiron makes in his own chart, and the energy can work both ways. Why?

Image: Hera, Athena and Iris in the Trojan War (Iris, at the Behest of Zeus, Warns Athena and Hera not to Assist the Greeks in their War with the Trojans.) via WIkimedia Commons.

Chiron who came from little had worked diligently and amassed for himself great RESOURCES (Taurus) and FAMILY LEGACY (4th house) in his line of work, and for this reason he was CHALLENGED (square) by those represented by Mars in Leo in the 8th house, who wanted all the honour, attention and benefits for themselves, to hoard it for POWER in the 8th house of ‘other people’s fortune, wealth or money’.

Perhaps Zeus felt that as long as he was on top, he could not be triggered by his insecurities… he could feel calm or satisfied, because he stole something from another.

Zeus created manipulative dramas to block other’s light, enthusiasm, happiness or achievements (Leo), by trying to get revenge on them for it, by throwing his insecurity via covert attack projections on them, for their destruction (8th house). He wanted all the attention for himself, and for others to be in a nightmare.

In the discovery chart, Zeus as Jupiter in Roman mythology in the 6th house Cancer, was in square to the 10th house cluster conjunct the MC, where his wife Hera was also exerting her influence for fake glamour, as asteroid Hera. Hera was also watching the outcome of the Trojan War intently, so that she could come after the enemy should they achieve something; to cause them a loss, because she didn’t want them to be in a leadership position (10th house). In the 10th house, Hera wanted to block other’s choices in love that would lead to a public victory (asteroid Hera conjunct Venus, Pluto, NN and MC). It’s all rooted in a reckless, heartless gamble.

Mars in astrology signifies passion, war and anger. It’s about being self-made and independent, but in the 8th house is about a struggle over who gets to be on top. Other articles on this website explained how Zeus set in motion the dominoes that would create the discord in the heart, that would lead to the Trojan War, that would create a true 8th house death, evolution, change and transformation. The Trojan War was a natural end to a situation, which was Zeus feeling threatened that someone would come and dethrone him, the king of Olympus, as the dethroned his own father Cronus.

The Trojan War was the completion of his project, to allay his fears about the unknown, because he didn’t want the continued GROWTH of those fine men, or their PROGRESSION in life, which stirred both Zeus and Hera’s INSECURITIES about their own POSITION IN SOCIETY. Both wanted them all either eliminated, or to pulled down to a lower level, perhaps even their level… so nobody will outshine them, with their courage, prowess or CODE OF ETHICS.

Yet despite the Trojan War, many heroes of GREAT INNER STRENGTH did continue to live their lives, overcome obstacles, having grown the strength to persevere. They continued in their lives in good faith, enjoying their tenacity and energy, having cultured their intelligence, focus and discipline. Overcoming and outlasting any competition or harsh conditions. These heroes survived and thrived as they all went back to their home countries, or settled elsewhere. They drew strength from their shared experiences, teamwork and being understood in their camaraderie. Having been put through the paces, due to the evil mastermind’s god complex and schemes of destruction.

The heroes of the Trojan War had been pawns in another’s game, but the battle was over, and the truth behind all the cockamamie chaos, had been discovered…

It had been all about ruining someone else’s life, to feel larger than life… Vanity-driven Zeus and Hera wanted to destroy those who helped others… and Zeus in particular did not want to be seen for doing it, thus the silencing campaign on Eris’ life, to make her unhinged, which had been successful, yet he could not stop the dreaded prophecy that someone was indeed remembered as greater than his father… for thousands of years afterwards…

Zeus ruined his own good luck, by trying to ruin other’s good fortune.

Based on Zeus’ childhood, and potential psychological issues around the paternal line and leadership, and the sins of the father’s actions spilling over into Chiron’s life as well, it is not hard to put two and two together… regarding what Chiron’s wounding was really all about…

Chiron truely had good intentions to remedy a problematic situation, but even that would fall prey to destruction due to another’s desire to always be on top, over others.

Influential Free Flow Energy of The Big Trine in the Discovery Chart

Image: Athena (Zeus’ daughter)

In Chiron’s discovery chart, all the planets (except for asteroid Chiron, now considered a minor planet) is above the horizon, which is the image of living life from the deep PROTECTION and NOURISHMENT of the fourth house, but also being on the public stage as a larger than life public figure. A visual picture of the chart shows both luminaries in trine in water signs. This entails he allowing of large orbs, which means the inclusion of a lot of planets in conjunction on both sides, into the trine. The Sun/Varda conjunction in secretive Scorpio in the 10th house trines Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology) in the 6th house conjunct the Moon. This very deep emotional and water sign exchange is important, because the tight Ixion/Uranus conjunction is also powerfully drawn into the mix.

The luminaries shine a bright light on deep emotional awareness, and it is as if both Jupiter’s agenda (Zeus), and Chiron’s emotional mastery, is in trine with the shocking (Uranus) betrayal and immaturity (Ixion).

Jupiter conjunct the Moon is on the bendings and also in square to the North Node cluster. This may be seen as the tension that Zeus (Jupiter) had with his wife Hera (asteroid Hera in the 10th house). In the brown image above, Iris came, at the behest of Zeus, to warn Athena and Hera NOT TO ASSIST the Greeks in their war with the Trojans, but Hera and Athena ignored Zeus’ advice, and choose the Achaean army’s side, which worked against Zeus’ secret scheme for Chiron’s student Achilles to be humiliated and destroyed, because Athena was known for never losing a battle…

In the discovery chart asteroid Pallas Athena at 1 degree Scorpio is directly opposed to Chiron in Taurus, and in tight square to Mars, amongst others. The Trojan war had split society into TWO OPPOSING SIDES, by Zeus’ design…

However, this chart is primarily about Chiron, who was eventually given fairness, balance and justice (North Node in Libra) and released from the earthly life, from the wounding of the hydra, and also the pain that the schemes of people for spotlight power had brought him (as was described in part 1). Zeus was persuaded and took pity on Chiron, and Chiron was instead immortalised as the brightest constellation in the night sky; Centaurus. This was an honour indeed, as Zeus (Jupiter) had been the brightest planet in the night sky, and in Chiron’s chart, the Moon and Jupiter is conjunct the brightest star in the night sky; Sirius.

When Projecting False Perceptions to be Accepted as Reality no longer work… and People gettting what they Deserve

Image: Centaurus constellation map via Wikimedia Commons.

Both Zeus and Hera might initially have had a problem with bestowing this great favour of immortalising Chiron as the brightest constellation Centaurus, yet via this pathway Chiron would be remembered for thousands of years… despite any inequities…

To reiterate, a great honour indeed… for a man who was actually worthy of it…

This honour came from one of the two BIGOTS who had initially been making massive PROJECTIONS on others in society, wanting to get satisfaction from making others feel pain, to get them to buy into the illusion of false perception… that they are not worthy or valuable, or don’t belong…

Zeus wanted others down and out, stuck in the REMNANTS OF INEQUITY, playing with how they perceived themselves or their self-worth, as if they were his victims, yet those like Achilles, Chiron and even from a certain point of view Eris, had learnt to move on… Each of them were astute, and Zeus and Hera’s projections to get their perception all f**ked-up, could not get into their minds, or hearts.

The hateful win-at-all-cost battles were over, and these people learnt to glow and celebrate in their own unique ways…as the victor of their own destinies… Being wise, graceful and perceptive… and twisted Zeus and Hera had lost control of them… and what their reality reflects back at them… In doing this, Zeus and Hera were stuck in their own feedback loops. Each were building their own cages, thinking that their PROJECTION, ILLUSION, FALSE PERCEPTION TRAPS will catch others. By keeping others in a loop, that is what they were creating for themselves… The irony… they were spiritually and emotionally sick… they wanted to make others small, so they can feel big, and they were using others as a gauge regarding their own importance. If others are down, then they must be up… In blocking other’s pathway, they felt real good… They wanted both individuals and society at large to be blind to what is good about honourable people, so that these targets would feel worthless, unstable and in pain. They didn’t want others to be in calm, nor inner alignment. See this Eris article, and the section on Hera, to understand what Hera and her emotionally stunted toxic loop represents better.

It is not immediately apparent, but the gods in mythology did get what they deserved for their ill-intent and bad actions against others.

Although the situation may not be based on IDEAL JUSTICE, there is some sort of internal justice system at play. Those who behaved admirably will probably be pleased with their results. Those who haven't lived up to their own standards, values, and professed beliefs may not be so pleased.

Chiron Applying the Lessons of Self-Love and Self-Care of the Chironic Path

Chiron had been advocating for a healthy lifestyle, taking care of the body, mind and spirit, and teaching his students to give back to themselves, which is what he initially had learnt to do when he was a student (Chiron in Taurus). However, later in life STEADFAST Chiron acquired a new wound in the form of the hydra’s poison, and he could not heal himself from it… Chiron had been teaching others SELF-CARE and SELF-LOVE, but it was time that he cashed in on his own teachings…

The Chiron wound can be seen as an energetic sensitivity, teaching us to re-parent (Chiron in the fourth house) ourselves in ways that were not present or possible in the past. Chiron represent our deepest emotional and spiritual wounds, and ultimately, it is about learning self-love in the form of a healthy self-esteem to be able to overcome any of the challenges that live presents, that may have made one feel blocked or inflicted. Over time, as we move from pain to peace, from disempowerment to strength, we transmute the wound into WISDOM as it is release to the soul. Chiron’s ‘earthly life’ may have ended, but mythology shows that ‘his life’ continued as he was immortalised in the constellation Centaurus. Loving both the human and divine self is the last frontier for the human being. In practical terms for today, the lesson is that self-love and self-care heals the wounds.

Nothing else is more difficult for the human to do, than to truely, unconditionally love themselves, freeing themselves from all toxicity and seeing themselves as a unique, divine soul having a human experience.

The Chironic path is the healing journey toward well-being and evolutionary consciousness. It’s profoundly honourable and principled…

Eris Conjunct Chiron 2024, 2025 and 2026

This information is important as the first Eris conjunct Chiron starts soon, followed by more hits in 2025 and 2026… see the dates below, which is a rough estimate of when the two energies move into close orb…

In Chiron’s myth, he was wounded twice: once at birth via the rejection of others, and the second time toward the end of his life when he had already gained a reputation for being a fine teacher and healer. In astrology, this represents the fact that Chiron is immortalised in the natal/birth chart in a particular position, and then at around age 50, there is a Chiron return, as asteroid, now considered minor planet Chiron had made one revolution around the zodiac, to return to the same spot that it was in, at birth. This is the sore spot and core wounding that is re-experienced, as Chiron can bring up a flood of emotions around this wound and serve as a time to release what's no longer serving, regarding self-doubt or unresolved pain, so that the floodgates can open for healing.

Note that this article was written in the lead up to the 8 April 2024 solar eclipse, which activated Eris conjunct Chiron, as eclipses tend to have a wide, up to 10 degree orb.

The Chiron Wound Rooted in Childhood Trauma?

Chiron in Taurus in the fourth house is about the value, worth and empathy felt (Taurus) within the family of origin unit (fourth house) and this is quite evident. Yet Chiron was the overcomer, with Chiron opposed to overcomer Pallas Athena and Varda, despite the challenges presented from the aggression (Mars in Leo). The fourth house is ruled by Mars, which happens to be the planet the Chiron is in a tight square to, which entails the tension with another’s aggression and need to win and be first in line.

Chiron in it’s own discovery chart is also conjunct Sedna. Curiously, Sedna in her own discovery chart, is also in Taurus in the fourth house. What can we learn from these minor similarities?

TAURUS

On the Sedna blog, it is explained that Taurus is an earth sign that is oriented around the physical, grounded, material world. It’s about the economy, agriculture, food, finances, possessions, money management, and issues around the land and Mother Nature. Taurus is about SECURITY, STURDINESS, STRUCTURE and management of one’s own RESOURCES. The Node of Destiny is in the fourth astrological house in Sedna’s chart, and entails aspiring towards securing established foundation of home, traditions, history, and family wealth. The fourth house is ruled by Cancer, and include ROOTS and INHERITED wealth as PROTECTION and SAFETY for the family to thrive. This house represents all things domestic and what we envision ‘a house’ to be, like physical shelter, family life, and ancestry. It’s about feeling at home, safe and at peace, where SELF-CARE is practiced and EMOTIONAL NEEDS are met. It can also be seen as the NATURAL RESOURCES as GENERATIONAL WEALTH of a community as is reflected in Sedna’ astromythology, and can be seen as the foundation or core of a city or region’s resources, even a nation’s natural resources, that keeps on providing for many, even extending for generations as proud LEGACY, fortune and treasure. This astrologer has seen Sedna being called the cruel mistress in articles written about Sedna, but really, who is cruel? The cruelty lies in the greed and selfishness in the heart of the hoarder who disadvantage others in their grab for ASSETS (Taurus) in gluttony and overindulgence, to add to their own LEGACY (fourth house). This planet has become ‘small’ due to GLOBALISATION, so how can one justify being like a cancer on it? The problem is the lack of CONSCIOUSNESS, or perhaps lack of CONSCIENCE when it comes to the management of RESOURCES that are a LEGACY, that can benefit everyone, as the earth is abundant and plentiful.

On a mass consciousness level, Chiron in Taurus in the fourth house is the devaluation of those people who care about building their own legacies that benefits large groups of people, however, they are prevented from the fruition of their goals at some point, because they become aware of the fact that other’s have a problem with them rising to greater heights and breaking glass ceilings in the public eye.

It is important to note, that it was in letting go of the battling and allowing the Age of Heroes to die, that Chiron found peace eventually.

The Sabian Symbol for Chiron

Chiron in his own discovery chart sits at 3 degrees Taurus, which means that 4 degrees Taurus is utilised. This is the degree of “The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow”.

The rainbow is a symbol of many things. It symbolised hope, joy, good luck, wellbeing, happiness and health. It’s also a symbol of inclusivity and diversity, and the embracing of love and friendship, and ethnic and racial diversity. More importantly, it symbolises a connection between heaven and earth, and divinity and humanity. It is a reminder for the person who views a rainbow to uplift themselves spiritually, for there is a pot of gold at the end of it, and that was certainly true of Chiron in mythology. He made good choices, despite his family linage, his appearance disadvantage. He took the opportunities that life provided for him, and he made benevolent choices, that led to riches inner and outer. Chiron linked his divinity with his earthly life, and he enjoyed what he could, despite the pain from the venom of the hydra. Chiron got to enjoy a pot at the end of the rainbow during his earthly life, and as a celestial body (constellation Centaurus). Wealth indeed. For all the fine things that his forefathers and his siblings had, they did not have what Chiron had… a great spiritual inheritance… despite an initial great disadvantage…
