In the discovery chart, MakeMake is in the 10th house Virgo in conjunction to the MC, square Pluto in Sagittarius. MakeMake here is about a person seen in a place of recognition for achievement, reputation and status, but also for excellence, as Virgo is about the diligent work and planning that goes into attaining success. Higher expression MakeMake is also about the realisation that fracking (drilling deep holes in the earth) releases massive amounts of METHANE, and that blaming cattle for farting methane, and justifying that they have to be culled in the thousands to save the planet, is hardly sensible… Nitrogen fertiliser, excessive grain-feeding operations of cattle in feedlots, and intensified farming operations in general, do harm the environment significantly, thus taxing those farmers an emissions tax may be justified for its logic. However, cattle, pigs and chickens eating a healthy diverse pasture-based diet in natural environments, are benevolent and essential for natural integrated ecosystems. They also produce food for human that is nutritionally more satisfying, if you compare a battery-caged egg, to a pasture-raised egg. To this day, few understand the malarky in the media about farming emissions calculations, tax and
rules, which entails facts mixed up with blatant fiction, that are entirely non-sensical when combined. MakeMake energy entails driving an ideology to the point where things have to be almost entirely lost or destroyed, before there is sudden enlightenment or admittance, about the participation in a MASSIVE SOCIETAL FARSE and BIASED, ARROGANT LEADERSHIP, who crowed EMPEROR, but are in fact rooted in spiritual poverty, completely lacking in foresight and good sense (Venus). MakeMake is about the uncompromising rushing head first ‘over a cliff’ with some sectarian idea, and about not having planned something well at all. The higher expression is about the almost too late salvation; finally realising the dire consequences of fools rushing in where angels fear to tread… and needing to pivot, fix or mitigate the f***-up fast, due to abuse of power and being a dogmatic hothead not grounded in reality. Also consider the safety concerns about feeding cattle METHANE-reducing supplement. Asparagopsis seaweed is also highly anti-microbial, which by logic does not seem wholesome for ruminants in the long run, who depend on healthy gut microbiota to digest their food, and be healthy… Cows, sheep and other mammals are just like humans, when the rumen/ bio-digester/gut microbiome are disrupted, it tends to lead to degeneration of good health.

Eris (insecurity, competitive) conjunct North Node (fortune/destiny) in Aries (rash or inexperienced movement) square Saturn (restriction/trials) in Cancer (nourishment) in the 8th house of shared resources and being overly-controlling in MakeMake’s discovery chart. MakeMake people don’t like losing and will keep battling/bullying/annihilating to override another’s fortune for personal gain, but in the final realisation of massive loss and defeat for all, they may finally face the truth regarding weakness… It’s time to wake up and take accountability! Makemake is about those who do not plan ahead nor think matters through, who become involved in risky or unfavourable situations which prudent people avoid. MakeMake lower expression is only happy when they see something not working out for another due to their unholy one-upmanship, but the truth is that they lack the resource of spiritual abundance to make right, wise choices. It’s living in hypocrisy and enjoying it, because that delusion is their preference…
MakeMake is that energy of being in such a rush to stage a defeat for another - to secure a gain - that you don’t see that you are digging a deeper hole for yourself and everyone else. MakeMake is very much the energy of the athlete who feels invulnerability and entitlement, due to having developed strong will power and strength of spirit, who pushes themself to the limit to achieve, but in the competing with others over the top spot, control over resources, or enjoying privileges, loose sight of a bigger, more wholesome picture regarding societal wellbeing. Makemake shows how traditional beliefs and ways of being, that had been held onto for ages, can be let go of in the face of stark truth, and wake-up call to reality. MakeMake was the spirit who was able to guide the birds to the island of Moto Nui over a vast ocean, to nest where the warriors could take the first egg of the season, that would give victory to their clan and its leader, and the exclusive, ELITIST privilege
to enjoy the nutrient-dense resources of Moto Nui island for a year. This practice started when the main island Rapa Nui’s ecosystem, male fertility, and slowed down population growth, were potentially already in decline. The definition of poverty says a lot about MakeMake energy: it is the state of being extremely poor. It is the state of being inferior in quality or insufficient in amount. It’s not having enough to meet basic needs. Poverty may be defined as a human condition characterised by sustained or chronic deprivation of the resources, capabilities, choices, security or power necessary for the enjoyment of an adequate standard of living and other civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights. Absolute poverty (also called extreme poverty) is the lack of sufficient resources to secure basic life essentials. Makemake’s story shows us what is truely worth preserving in life… and it includes stark realities and wake up calls… that trying to mess with nature, is blasphemous.

It is a story of the birdman competition collective scheme that would suit the collective value; which is providence and being nutritionally satisfied, while also desiring to indulgence on nutrient-dense food (like a bird’s egg), when that is an option for only a few. MakeMake and the story of the birdman is decidedly about indulging and creating troubles, making things worse by refusing to accept failure of a selfish lifestyle, that prolongs suffering and prevents aid, and delay of a resolution to the problem. MakeMake is the story of near EXTINCTION on Rapa Nui island, due to desecrating natural resources and having a great difficulty maintaining agrarian ethos, male fertility and sustainable population. In the media, many have claimed on how the so-called “greenies” also destroy the environment in the name of protecting it. Some are called “climate crazies” and their disruption seen as self-defeating. Ironically, Extinction Rebellion is a global environmental movement, with ideologies that has many astonishing parallels with MakeMake’s mythology.
Sedna has been conjunct malefic fixed star Algol as early as mid 2014, which is when the political push for industrial agriculture and international trade in Australia took off in earnest. 2014 was also the start of strong political backing for animal rights activism/environmental activism, with the visible rise of films like Lucent and later Dominion, that portrait animal agricultural practices that border on exploitation and abuse. This is what led to the massive “GREEN” political support that is now quite visible in the media.
Higher expression MakeMake is about soul purpose, wisdom from connection, and receptivity to collective forces, tapping into authentic spiritual guidance and renewal, but through nutrient-dense foods, introspection, isolation and meditation. It’s about finally getting to work to restore the symbiotic relationships in nature and implement the protection of the MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI that cycle the carbon dioxide in the air, and bring increased soil fertility back, that comes from natural integrated ecosystems in nature. It’s called REGENERATIVE or BIOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE, where soil microbes are encouraged to do all the work, where animal grazing are managed, allowing diverse-species pasture to grow abundantly, before being grazed again after given proper resting time. This is the optimal pumping of the carbon cycle, that in turn produce nutrient-rich, biodiverse pasture for the animals, that leads to nutrient-superior meat and safe for human consumption unpasteurised dairy.
MakeMake was discovered in 2005, which is the year that India (one of the world’s biggest consumers) followed the example of Bhutan, with an ORGANIC FARMING POLICY, mainly to increase the wellbeing of farmers who were suiciding due to industrial agriculture losses, but also for the wellbeing of the eaters, animals involved, and the environment.
MakeMake entered Libra between 2013 - 2016+ and during this time an astonishing amount of scientific evidence around experimental regenerative farming came to light. Many articles were written about evidence-based regenerative/biological farming of grazing animals on diverse-species pasture that capture carbon, restoring soil carbon and massive fertility. In June 2015 a massive international movement came about to reverse global warming and end world hunger by facilitating and accelerating the global transition to regenerative agriculture and land management. MakeMake in Libra will be balancing the scales for nature, via political conflict, regarding the diabolical who want something for nothing at the expense of nature, and leaving others without the resources they need, neglecting to regenerate what they plunder, until it leaves between 2044 - 2046. Here is a hint: synthetic fertiliser, pesticides, herbicides, monocultures, GMOs and industrial agriculture in general, harm these PRICELESS SOIL MICROBES. Regenerative agriculture enables farmers to adapt to a variable climate and extreme weather events by enhancing crop yield and pasture stability and resilience.
It’s about recognising the LACK OF SENSITIVITY, sensing and feeling not part of MakeMake energy, and knowing that the ability to feel love, have values, inner nourishment, have empathy, and relate, are what is missing from the equation (the Sun/Venus superior conjunction). Venus in astrology, is goddess of love, beauty and harmony. It is the self-esteem and self-worth that brings the gifts of the soul into the human experience; without it, chaos, egotism, pointless rebellion, and destruction reigns.
In addition, Varda squares Uranus and makes a Hammer of Thor apex on Saturn and asteroid Kassandra, may also be seen as a rite of passage into maturity, like the missing Venusian energy. The square brings massive tension between finding light and divine insight, to stubborn, set in his ways Saturn, and not heeding the warnings about CALAMITY and DOOM, conjunct Kassandra in Cancer. This tension takes place in the house of shared resources and generational wealth (8th) and deals with how we obtain NOURISHMENT; wether it is the food that deeply satisfies the body’s nutritional needs, or the drive to find the divine ‘golden treasures’ within, for true divine insight, to make right choices that is in everyone’s best interest, instead of an immature, short-sighted, abuse of power display, that puts egg on their face. This bigger picture is very challenging for MakeMake lower expression to comprehend, being so caught up in the aspiration to win, manipulate, hoard or have it all their way, that they may fail to see how everyone is actually losing because of their selfish shenanigans to be the haughty victorious party in leadership… The lower expression can be quite obsessive with STRATEGY for the CLOUT, APPEARANCE OF OPPULANCE, SOCIAL NOTORIETY, to acquire FAME/STATUS, to be seen for power and influence, in charge of valuable resources, as the Aries stellium opposed to Jupiter square star Sirius in Cancer shows in the discovery chart. Sirius conjunct Varuna in Cancer 8th house, is about leadership being challenged to bring social justice to all parties as it pertains to shared resources. Towards the end - before near complete societal/ecological collapse - the toxic competition became fierce for the last of the nutrient-dense resources on Moto Nui island. Life became cut-throat, threatening, and the life/death stakes were high.
Lower expression MakeMake is all about COLD COMFORT, and being too steeped in the energy of being lacking, in sympathy empathy and good sense. It’s about NOT VALUING NOR RESPECTING THE HEART OF GOLD or LEADING FROM LOVE ENERGY, perhaps taking vulnerability for weakness, or considering spiritual strength and wisdom that entails a balanced ego, a worthless aspect of human life. The lack of Venus energy entails being caught in a narcissistic behavioural rut of setbacks, limited potential and success. It’s relationships not carrying the nutrient, nor stimulus hoped for. They don’t recognise how the capacity for deep love, light and empathy, brings with it emotional intelligence, mastery, and soul connectedness, that ultimately trumps anything the ego comes up with, regarding the ego feel good extracted from conquest and victory. It’s being too bigoted and not recognising the Venusian qualities as the essential ingredient in a happy society. The lower expression struggles to find something that makes them feel better, or truely satisfied from within; this is why there are radical extremists and revolutionaries caught up in their hysterical fears, on some looming battleground, ready to step into a disorderly, protracted fight, struggle or dispute. Why? It’s about the resources they desperately need, to fill that empty craving and inner calling from within; for GENUINE NOURISHMENT, instead of the SUPERFICIAL FULFILMENT that entails abuse of power and leaving others ‘without’ the resources they need, having squandered it, to everyone’s detriment.
Rapa Nui culture of the time, before near total societal/environmental collapse, worshipped MakeMake (pronounced MakeiMakei), the bird god, which has strong connections to the Hawaiian stories of Haumea, who had a magical stick called the makalei, which is symbolic of providing food abundantly, from nature’s natural capital and wealth. In Hawaii, nature is lush, green and provides abundantly, however, Rapa Nui island’s climate changed due to human activities, which meant that nutrient-dense foods like the egg, became paramount for fertility, on multiple levels.
