With Ixion concluding its participation as leg in the Sedna Yod and Varuna Yod soon (see details at the bottom of this article), it is very timely that stories emerge of massive betrayal, reckless insincerity, excessive love of money, cheating, backstabbing, and boasting of disloyalty or corruption to make a selfish profit.
Ixion is currently the leg of the Sedna Yod, as well as the Varuna Yod. The Sedna Yod is currently out of orb, but the Varuna Yod started moving into tight orb in March 2023 and still is, which means all three objects in the Varuna Yod are under 2-3 degrees orb usually assigned to a Yod by astrologers. Currently slowmoving Ixion at 4 degrees Capricorn sextiles Gonggong at 5 degrees Pisces / Saturn at 6 degrees Pisces and makes a Yod apex out of Varuna at 5 degreees Leo. PcW Massive ‘Breach of Trust’ Tax Scandal Australia
The scandal centres around PwC's use of confidential government tax plans to advise its corporate clients on new anti-tax-avoidance rules, which is causing their reputation to spiral, as ‘devoid of an ethical backbone’ when it comes to providing a level of assurance that they are ‘doing the right thing’ when there are potential conflict of interest involved.
This day started with further eruption of more great scandal engulfing an established and trusted consulting firm PwC, who provides policy advice to big corporate clients. According to this news clip, the behaviour of one of the ‘big four’ consulting firms has raised serious questions about a system where critical government work is undertaken by commercial companies. Revelations came forward that PwC breached confidentiality agreements to profit the firm and its clients, shocked the industry and may have ongoing implications.
This article alleges that PricewaterhouseCoopers used government secrets to help clients in Australia and the US avoid tax – a scandal that has forced resignations and threatens contracts worth hundreds of millions. It seems to entail emailing government secrets to colleagues who would later use them to help clients and make millions of dollars. The scale of the lack of integrity is labelled a “disgraceful breach of trust”, and a coverup of a scheme of evasion, as the ongoing Senate Inquiry tries to unravel the extent.
PwC has been embroiled in scandal before, so why is this such a massive ‘breach of trust’ at the moment and bursting onto the public scene? This article quotes Prof Fran Baum, a public health expert at the University of Adelaide’s Stretton Institute, who told the inquiry:
“These consultancy firms are now forming a shadow public service, in effect”.
He questioned the government’s ability to scrutinise any conflicts of interest given consultancy firms since they don’t always publicly disclose their clients.
Labor senator Deborah O’Neill reportedly called the PwC tax leak “a betrayal of the ethical and professional standards they should be upholding”, and said she’s concerned other firms may be engaging in the same behaviour that PwC is now in the hot seat for, but unlike PwC haven’t been caught doing it.

Ixion in Astromythology
Trans-Neptunian object Ixion in astrology and Greek mythology is about betrayal, disloyalty, great immaturity, selfish attachment to money, insincerity and being a reckless player. It’s about moral and ethical failure when it comes to wealth, resources or social equity in some form, and the intricate relationship to it, in which many are invested, and how a bad apple can bring ruin about in the process of attaining self-indulgent enrichment, but using stealth not to be discovered.
It’s about being overly concerned with money, greed and power. Ixion’s discovery chart speaks of the gossiping trickster (Sun, Moon, Saturn conjunction in Gemini 5th house) who don’t want to grow up, who turned cold as ice, overindulging in hubris, triangle situations in relationship or interest and ego (Venus conjunct Eris) with haughty behaviour actively creating sorrow in societal issues or interest groups (Mars, Chiron conjunction in 11th house Sagittarius) with immature, or immoral behaviour.
Ixion in the discovery chart at 4 degrees Sagittarius is the Sabian symbol of a child learning to walk, which is the yet unfulfilled hope to eventually achieve a latent potential (wisdom and maturity as conjunct Pallas Athena), while being challenged by authority figures (Ixion opposed to Saturn). Yet the chart as a whole reveals the great immaturity, irresponsibility and insecurity of the spiritually unwholesome.
Ixion’s chart has a large amount of planets in the 5th and 11th house.
Opposing houses often have related significations. The 5th house is where one tap in to express in truthful honestly rooted in individuality and indulge in individual passions, high creativity, and happiness shining in authenticity. The 5th house is about the matters of the heart and love, where the 11th house is about where that individual fits into social connections, causes, and future dreams. The 11th house is larger social circles, community and group activities, and how the creative individual fits into it. However, Ixion got into great trouble due to indulging in selfishness and self-indulgence (5th house) and the mythological story describe how society saw through his lack of adherence to social graces, like the violation of the etiquette and common curtesies of the time in Greek polite society regarding the strict code of guest-host relations.
Ixion in Greek mythology was the privileged King of Thessaly turned calculated disgraced annihilator and dethroned murderer of his father-in-law, who he dug a grave for by pushing him into a fire pit and claiming the deliberate action was an accident. Neighbouring kingdoms refused to cleanse Ixion’s guilt, therefore he was outcasted to live in the wilderness.
Reciprocity of the Guest-Host Relationship in Ancient Greek Custom
It started with Ixion getting married to Dia, daughter of Deioneus (or Eioneus) and in retaliation for not paying dowry, his father in law withheld some of Ixion’s prized horses. When his father-in-law visited him, resentful Ixion violated the guest-host relationship, seen as act of treachery and violation of xenia. Xenia is an ancient Greek concept of hospitality. It is almost always translated as 'guest-friendship' or 'ritualised friendship'. It is an institutionalised relationship rooted in generosity, gift exchange, and RECIPROCITY. Historically, hospitality towards foreigners and guests was understood as a MORAL OBLIGATION. The rituals of hospitality created and expressed a reciprocal relationship between guest and host expressed in both material benefits (e.g. gifts, protection, shelter) as well as non-material ones (e.g. favors, certain normative rights). Xenia was RESPECT from hosts to guest and visa versa; Ixion had violated both. Xenia was deeply imbedded in ancient Greek CUSTOMS and MANNERS, as the affairs of human interaction of one person, to a social group of people (5h house/11th house polarity).
Fallen from grace Ixion was given a second chance for redemption/rehabilitation by Greek god Zeus, that he did not deserve, then had the audacity and immaturity to abuse the generosity of his benefactor, due to the arousal of the base passions winning over listening to better judgement.
Ixion had gossiped, spread stories, slandered and boasted (Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Gemini) about having defiled Zeus’ wife Hera (Juno) as having ruined her reputation as being unfaithful to her husband… which was a self-indulgent lie and a second violation of guest-host relations…
Observant Zeus saw Ixion’s next deception coming, thus in mythology Nephele was created by Zeus from a cloud, that looked identical to his wife Hera, in order to test Ixion… and he failed by revealing his addiction to his moral bankruptcy lifestyle. This revealed Ixion didn’t want to be rescued, rehabilitated or to reform himself, and he didn’t want to elevate himself from his moral depravity. Ixion just wanted to exploit this opportunity to dine in Olympus for shits and giggles at the god’s expense, by scamming, manipulation and trickery; by sleeping with his benefactor’s wife and being able to relish in the conquest afterwards, in boasting about his victory, in being “a piece of shit” again.
Ixion is about the immature, untrustworthy, false and disloyal who want to play in the face of those of influence, high honour and established respect who are on a powerful pedestal; to bring ingratitude, disrespect and discredit.
Ixion was mean spirited and jealous of his benefactor, his wife and their social position in life, and he saw a reckless opportunity to take advantage of the situation; to bring those of position and respect down to his level, by striking a petty blow. He tried to take them off their pedestal, by trying to make things difficult for them, to mess with them; to get faithful and loyal Hera in trouble with her husband. To be the cold blooded trickster who would paint the ‘all mighty king and queen of Olympus with high status and affluence’ black. He intended tragedy and a broken contract with them when he boasted afterwards about what he had done to Hera and gotten away with. He deliberately plotted on Zeus, to be faithless to him, while also thinking that he had successfully seduced Hera to be treacherous to her husband as well.
Ixion had a history of challenging authority figures under a guise of playful innocence but was a deliberate shit stirrer in relations claiming rights due to being a Greek king (Sun/Moon/Saturn in 5th house), with the perceived political authority to do as he pleased in polite society/community (11th house)… Yet this gross misjudgement in how he had the right to govern and operate in society was not the legitimate SOCIAL LICENSE he considered it to be… as others saw through his rouse; that he deliberately intended to get rid of his commitment to his father in law for personal benefit; to avoid paying him the dowry he had promised him. In ancient Greece, family connections and other alliances and allegiances were a blessing that was meant to be treasured, and this defiling was blasphemous on the values the greeks held dear.
It’s a story of those bad boys/girls who find it hard to learn their lessons, going around the same karmic cycles, with similar karmic partners, trying new tricks to stitch someone up, not learning from experience. Ignorance is bliss, entitlement for reward without effort the norm, having shits and giggles at another’s expense feels good, and screwing people over lots of fun, until you try to screw over the wrong person.
Zeus famously never tolerated any form of disrespect to his wife Hera, and everyone in Greek society knew this to be true; it shows the mammoth stupidity and reckless risks that Ixion was prepared to take… For someone who claims to be so smart, being such a skilled trickster and liar, Ixion was really not so smart… Ixion was operating from ego-based hatred and lawlessness; doing whatever he wanted with no care for anyone or anything. Reckless Ixion ultimately lacked wisdom and maturity…
Ixion in astrology is the man child being forced by an authority into learning the lessons of the Karmic Wheel the hard way, after refusing to address the ruthless entitlement, rebellion, illusions, seduction or inner corruption, or taking a gain to make another lose unfairly in relation. It’s having to take account, after repeatedly failing to do it voluntarily… In punishment for broken contracts, Zeus bound Ixion to a winged or flaming spinning wheel upon which Ixion was forced to continuously repent: "show gratitude to your benefactor."

Ixion is about lose cannon players with bad habits, leadership without restraint, seduction, gossip and manipulating others, finally getting restrained in or for the mess of their making… Ixion is the sinner on display, not only for guilt of spilling the blood of kin, but for the disrespect and betrayal in the guest/host relationship, that was sacred to the ancient Greeks.
Greek mythology is full of SATIRE, which is the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticise people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

As can be deduced from the dates above, the Sedna Yod has been within 2-3 degree orb - on an off - for more than a decade. At the end of 2023, the Sedna Yod with Ixion as leg concludes the last time they aspect within this orb of influence. In fact, both Sedna and Ixion stations to change direction in September 2023, with Sedna going retrograde and Ixion moving forwards. By mid November the Sedna Yod with Ixion as leg is over. Sedna and Ixion come into orb again in November 2024, but it is just beyond the maximum of 3 degrees astrologers typically afford a yod. In fact, trans-Neptunian object Varda takes over as the leg of the Sedna Yod in 2024, within tight orb in April 2024, going beyond 2030. Trans-Neptunian object Ixion in astrology and Greek mythology is about betrayal, disloyalty, great immaturity, attachment to money, insincerity and being a reckless player. Trans-Neptunian object Varda is the light bearer, and has a decidedly more positive energy from the fictional mythology, than Ixion.
4. The Addition of Some Saturn Spice to an Already Potent Varuna Yod in the Process of Soon Concluding?
The nature of a Yod was described in great detail in this online course, and it entails the powerful energies of the two planets that sextile, and through the blindsiding power of two inconjuncts/quincuncx aspects, barrel energy powerfully down on the apex planet, which is then forced to express in an unexpected, and often highly surprising way, as it pertains to the qualities of the planet or object.
Both the Sedna Yod and Varuna Yod entail three very slow moving trans-Neptunian objects, in each Yod, the effect of this is very slow moving and grinding, which picks up pace whenever the Yod is in close orb, transited by other ‘activating’ planets (Saturn in this case), and particularly as it nears the end of the lifetime of that Yod aspect patterns formation, as is the case right now with Ixion soon moving forward, to break ‘formation’ with both yods. Having to take responsibility Saturn will be retrograding in June 2023 and will be hovering around Gonggong until around February 2024, therefore the effect will be grinding and powerful. Even though the Yods (with Ixion as leg) may conclude soon, the energy of aspect patterns like this - with slow moving trans-Neptunian objects - linger longer. The Varuna Yod dissolves around mid 2025.
Ixion wanted others to lose control of their lives, but was forced by the flaming wheel to lose control of his own and be in a loop of negativity… This was his massive fall from grace… twice…
Ixion built a faulty foundation on his own lies to himself. It is being the very worst kind of martyr; to suffer by your own dedication to poor investments rooted in trickery and untruth.
In the end, betrayer Ixion felt betrayed and victimised that he was so bound up in a scheme of his own making, that he would have to be dealt with, and given no more chances; to face punishment bound to the flaming wheel.
