Ixion and Haumea partake in the Yod with Sedna at the Apex from 2019 to 2033
Ixion is part of the Yod with Algol and Sedna at the apex. It will also be one of the legs in a square making a Hammer of Thor aspect pattern, as it relates to the trans-Neptunian planets that contribute to the spectacular configuration in the astrological sky, at the ingress of the Haumea Yod seen below.
Some students may wish to have access to this information in interpreting the Yod and Hamer of Thor aspect patterns that dwarf planet Ixion are part of, as this energy may uniquely manifest, as part of the configurations in their birth charts. This information is meant to be used for understanding and alchemy.
Astrologically, Ixion is a punishment in the underworld story, due to newly discovered dwarf planet Ixion, being classified as a Plutino. Under the guidelines of the International Astronomical Union's (IAU) naming conventions, objects with a similar size and orbit to that of Pluto are named after underworld deities. Other famous Plutinos are Orcus, which had been discussed in the free content section, as well as in the online course.
Ixion represents ingratitude and the violation of social norms of conduct. It is causing calculated disrespect or an injustice for someone you should be in gratitude towards. It is offending your benefactor, or devaluing the person who offers you a second chance.
Ixion was non-deserving after killing his father-in-law, yet was offered a second chance, only to squander it by attempting to humiliate the man who offered him a chance to redeem himself.
It is a story going around and around in relationship karmic cycles, over and over, and never learning the lesson, nor heeding the blessing of a karmic reset button.
Also, of betrayal and murder, and some astrologers say is prominent in the charts of murderers or homicides, which is evident in Ixion’s discovery chart.

The Yod with Sedna at the apex has Ixion in Sagittarius/Capricorn and his bad choices as one leg and support system driver, and the other is benevolent, regenerative Haumea in Libra/Scorpio. As can be deduced from the dates above, the Sedna Yod has been within 2-3 degree orb - on an off - for more than a decade. At the end of 2023, the Sedna Yod with Ixion as leg concludes the last time they aspect within this orb of influence. In fact, both Sedna and Ixion stations to change direction in September 2023, with Sedna going retrograde and Ixion moving forwards. By mid November the Sedna Yod with Ixion as leg is over. Sedna and Ixion come into orb again in November 2024, but it is just beyond the maximum of 3 degrees astrologers typically afford a yod.
In fact, trans-Neptunian object Varda takes over as the leg of the Sedna Yod in 2024, within tight orb in April 2024, going beyond 2030. Trans-Neptunian object Ixion in astrology and Greek mythology is about betrayal, disloyalty, great immaturity, attachment to money, insincerity and being a reckless player. Trans-Neptunian object Varda is the light bearer, and has a decidedly more positive energy from the fictional mythology, than Ixion.
